An interesting new thread in the Kennel:

This guy, is on big money at both eels and dogs. Got constantly "injured" and made the big bucks while on the sideline.
Goes back to manly, and now is injury free and playing like a top 6!
Yeah nah f this bs!
Foran-Gate!

Karma
What about good old Des. Had us playing the ****test brand of footy, now suddenly re-invented.

Said it earlier, foran 7 we are top8

Could someone explain this one to me?
We should have never let Foran go.
We essentially chastised a word class half because he injured himself busting his ass for us. He wanted to stay but we insulted him.
We saw his kind heart and spat on him.
Then when he was down we pulled out someone’s big d and pissed on him!!!’
Then Anderson came up and pooped on him when he was on the ground defeated.
But what Foran did not know was she is lactose intolerant and had a cuppacino in hand.
So that poop was more like runny spray all over him.
Then he got up and said to himself… no more.
Signing with Manly.

Too late
He was clearly our best player and that's factoring in his injury record. The players also voted him player of the season in his last year (no higher honor). The team he was playing in was completely F'd. He gave everything he had plus some and he should of been re-signed. We didn't and can't change that decision now, we just put it down with the 100 other mistakes the people in charge at our club have made over the past few years.

Seems feelings towards Gutho are shared!
Seems like all manly players have a curse after they leave manly, don't seem to play as well or get injured.
Gutho probably the exception but he's King Clit the pussy that walks

Nice to see some support for our whipping boys!
I guess anyone is a chance to end a run of injuries, so luck may be part of it. But also the big difference at Manly is he has DCE in the halves with him, who takes care of the playmaking, and now Foran can afford to be more selective when he injects himself and how often, and can just be a runner of the ball. When here and at a few other sides he was at, he was expected to be the messiah and do everything. And that had a price. At Manly there are players like turbo, DCE, Walker making his job easier for him. And they have a settled 9 in Croker who is solid.

Ha! Be careful what you wish for
That’s a coaching masterclass, which begs the fact we might have let Des go a bit early when he was trying to re build us.

Lol. We needed to let him go a few years earlier if anything. Des is a good Manly coach. Thats all he is. He wouldnt coach any other side to success imo.

The best we went in his tenure was 2012 with a side he inherited. It took him time to f us up lol.

And finally, the feeling mutual
thank god foran left us!!!

Just think about this (sometimes these things stupidly come to me in the middle of the night when I should be sleeping, but....bloody streaming TV LOL). Anyway, think about this.....

Back in 2018, had Trent Barrett not only been any sort of decent coach, but also not publicly thrown Jackson Hastings under the bus over the Gladstone incident, Hastings could easily have ended up being DCE's long term halves partner and we might never have brought Foz back to the club (we might never have signed Kane Elgey either, but that's another hypothetical for another day).

Kieran might be still at the Dogs, finally relatively injury free and playing like he is now, combining with the likes of Fox and Dufty.

But, now Hastings is with the Tigers, and if he plays mostly like he did yesterday then they will improve somewhat. Foz is back home at Manly and playing his best football since ... well since he was last at Manly. And Trent Barrett is the Dogs coach struggling like hell to prove that he really can coach (but failing).

Zoolander could have had an injury free, experienced Foz leading his team right now, probably forming a decent partnership with either Burton or Flanagan. If only Trent had used his powers for good instead of evil :rofl::rofl:

Oh, and for the record I hated the way Foz left the club and wasn't too happy with him at the time. But I can't fault his attitude or how he's played since he's come back home. Its the Kieran Foran of old, just with a wiser head on his shoulders. Foz never lost the skills or the desire, it was just his body that let him down at the Worms, Warriors and Dogs.

Fun fact.
Foran has played 178 games for Manly so... if he can play every remaining game this season, plus 3 finals games ... he will be up to 199!

(current total NRL games 244 plus 20 test matches so given his modest size and the way he plays it's a credit to his determination that he's still playing.)

how good would it be if hastings lifted the tigers off the bottom of the ladder and for the dogs to take their place!

MANLY’S AWKWARD FORAN DILEMMA

The Kieran Foran situation at Manly is a big watch. The Sea Eagles have offered Foran another 12-month contract for 2023 valued at around $300,000 per season.

But there is a push from within at Manly for young gun Sea Eagle Josh Schuster to be handed the starting no.6 jumper now he’s back from a syndesmosis injury.

Schuster’s agent Mario Tartak sent the club an email this week reminding them about the immensely talented ball-player being told he was the Sea Eagles long-term no.6.

But Foran has returned to career-best form since reuniting with Manly after an injury-interrupted three seasons at Canterbury-Bankstown.

There’s no question the Sea Eagles are a far more potent side with a Daly Cherry-Evans-Foran halves pairing and Schuster also on the field as an edge backrower.

Manly players have even said as much when asked about it this week.

Since returning to the Sea Eagles at the beginning of 2021, Foran has only missed two games because of a broken hand in the middle of last year.

He’s also prepared to dig deep into the line as well as any other five-eighth in the game - hence why the Sea Eagles have offered him a 12-month extension.

Sea Eagles coach Des Hasler has a strong track record at being one of the best man managers in the game so there’s no doubt Des will strike the right combination in terms of the balance of the Manly side.

This could become a major problem with Mario Tartak potentially using the "5/8" promise as a get out of contract tactic for 2023 and 2024.

Manly and Des better not screw this up all for a past traitor like Foran.

We don't want this turning into to the DCE - Foran saga of a few years back with Foran bold face lying to Manly to screw us.

Tartak also reps Saab, Haumole, the Fainu boys, and Tuitavake. Hope he's not using his stable as a wedge.
Interesting too that today's Captain's Run shots heavily featured Foz.

No doubt Schu will be our 6 one day but it will do him the world of good playing alongside a successful veteran, learning the tough stuff in the forwards first, whilst improving his playmaking without all the pressure. Foran is still our best 6 at this point (at least for this season, and possibly next). Experience is imperative in a top spine. Be patient Schu! All your wishes will come true. Put your head down and trust Manly
