so the numbers seem to line up at a fixed rate of $1.25M a season... interesting bit is the 'conservative' though... maybe they were taking into account potential future TPPs...

but who knows... the 10M may have been a guesstimate based on the expected impact of the ratcheting clause.... I am guessing very few people have actually seen the ink-on-paper copy of his contract...

Always understood DCE's contract to be a set base with an increase in proportion with the percent the overall salary cap rises by each year.

They were calling it a "ratchet clause" from memory.

Especially if the Dolphins get the franchise - he was a Redcliffe junior and his Dad played at Redcliffe. Some very very big skeletons in that club though if anyone started digging .....

Well I didn’t say that and I’m not sure if your not taking the piss, but I feel like there is something about milly. Hasn’t worked out at the Donkeys and maybe his been put under too much pressure to run the side, i asked about him as a centre, he hasn’t delivered at 5/8 and his not a FB either, but he has amazing acceleration, a decent boot, ball skills and i would like to see him play in the centre’s in a side where he can just play what he sees, no pressure to organise, especially running outside of Tom and Shoe, I think he could be a real asset, should come at the right price too, at a fraction of his last deal, worth the risk at the right price for one year with options in favour of the club, I’d say. Be interested in your genuine thoughts.

Should be an interesting game this week. DCE up against the young gun half who has taken the Aussie number 7 jersey from him. Cleary won Round 1 clash a few weeks ago by first round knockout, and he comes into this clash with his strongest side behind now him with their first string 9 and 1 back.

DCE has his lucky charm Turbo on board and some winning form on his side this time, but can he prove the claims of being the best half in the comp with a long overdue stand out performance ??

I'm interested to see who wins this battle of the 7's as it is essentially a SOO preview.
