TITANS-bound playmaker Daly Cherry-Evans has finally broken his silence on his much-publicised decision to leave Manly for the Glitter Strip in 2016.
The premiership-winner who controversially revealed to his team-mates his decision to sign a lucrative four-year deal with the
Titans from next year, has opened up on his goals for the future and his strong desire to leave the Northern Beaches club on high this season.
“I play this game for obviously my family, I play it for myself and more importantly I play it for my teammates and my coach and unless any of those groups of individuals want me gone, I won’t be going anywhere,” he told Fox Sports.
“I’ll be making sure I honour my contract this season. As far as I’m concerned, and as far as I’ve been told, I have plenty of support from the coach and the playing roster, so I’ll be doing whatever I can to see out this year and make it a successful one.
“I felt as though ‘Tooves’ needed to know before anyone else.
“I can’t really remember who didn’t shake my hand because everyone was so overwhelmingly supportive of me and genuinely seemed happy for me that I had made my mind up.”
For Manly, the attention now turns to locking up Cherry-Evans’ halves partner Kieran Foran.
According to the RLW Mole, Foran is waiting on a revised offer from Manly after the
Eels submitted a lucrative $1.3 million per year deal.
1.3 million a year for Foz is absolutely ridiculous! There needs to be an investigation if we pay anything near that.
