Trying to be positive, the Panthers were in this position 2 years ago, offloading talent like Jennings, Lewis, Grant in one offseason.

We need to destroy and rebuild.

They have a legend and known man manager in Phil Gould and one of the best administrators in the game - in fact good enough to run the NRL

Manly have some guy called call Joe with a record of being a mid level back office administrator with a bad comb over trying now to be the big boss - and knows little about rugby league.

We need to get Bozo Fulton back on the payroll as the Phil Gould type general mgr of football. I am sure he will be able to use his wealth of experience and man management to the betterment of the Manly club.

I really need to get a life; i've spent weeks living my life with a dark cloud hovering above; Foran's signature is consuming my life.

Channel 7 news reported today that Forans decision is this week; probably Thursday. Cloud won't last forever, but FOZ is an eel I suspect.

I'll be very surprised but delighted if he stayed.

If the Eagles have been successful they'd be bleating this to the rooftops, they are not, so it's bad news.

Oh well we move on, and one thing is for certain , If this happens we are going to have some decent $$$$ to be throwing into the player market that's for sure.

Just decide! If you are going just say it or say im close to re signing. The club deserves an answer one way or another. We need some good news for a change. If hes gone lets get out there and sign players who we really need and are totally committed!

I wouldn't want him to rush the process.......................said no one ever!:banghead::banghead:

Actually, I have a funny feeling that the longer this draws out the more likely he is staying. I thought he was gone, but now I think he will stay. If he was going to Parra all this time without major second thoughts, he'd be gone by now. I think he has also seen the fallout from the DCE situation and it's made him look at things a little differently.

My money is on him staying now. I think he will want the challenge of leading a mini re-build and driving us to another era at the top and retire a one club player.

The longer he keeps the club frozen for next year the more he drops in my books

man up and make a call, at least DCE did that in the end
lol does anyone else think DCE is already getting cold feet on the tits deal. He's said he wants to stay for this year not go up there early. If you wanted to go so much you'd think if the offer presented itself you'd be open to it. Doesn't want to leave the beaches yet. I reckon whether it ends up in the media or not if we start winning he may 'try' to do a backflip before june 30

And they keep reporting it as a 4 year deal but he's only locked into 2 with a player option for another 2.

lol that's because orr wants another bigger commission. The timing is for when the tv rights deal ends. So when that goes up the cap goes up and there'll be a new bidding war

I think he needs time to sort out personal stuff. It isnt the Sharks etc where he can just drive further to work, he's moving to a new state altogether. He made his decision for next yr so this whole "ship him off now" isn't realistic. He has a contract with us for 2015 so he won't be going unless all parties have a mutual agreement. Plus they haven't got the $$$ this year to pay him anyway (apparently).

Back to Foz though, no news of a contract withdrawal after Monday's meeting so i'm looking at that as a positive (clutching at whatever i can haha)

TITANS-bound playmaker Daly Cherry-Evans has finally broken his silence on his much-publicised decision to leave Manly for the Glitter Strip in 2016.

The premiership-winner who controversially revealed to his team-mates his decision to sign a lucrative four-year deal with the Titans from next year, has opened up on his goals for the future and his strong desire to leave the Northern Beaches club on high this season.

“I play this game for obviously my family, I play it for myself and more importantly I play it for my teammates and my coach and unless any of those groups of individuals want me gone, I won’t be going anywhere,” he told Fox Sports.

“I’ll be making sure I honour my contract this season. As far as I’m concerned, and as far as I’ve been told, I have plenty of support from the coach and the playing roster, so I’ll be doing whatever I can to see out this year and make it a successful one.

“I felt as though ‘Tooves’ needed to know before anyone else.

“I can’t really remember who didn’t shake my hand because everyone was so overwhelmingly supportive of me and genuinely seemed happy for me that I had made my mind up.”

For Manly, the attention now turns to locking up Cherry-Evans’ halves partner Kieran Foran.

According to the RLW Mole, Foran is waiting on a revised offer from Manly after the Eels submitted a lucrative $1.3 million per year deal.

1.3 million a year for Foz is absolutely ridiculous! There needs to be an investigation if we pay anything near that.
