Need to eat humble pie, just been contacted by my source after reading my post and been advised Matai settlement organised but most likely the salary cap dispensation will not be allowed as the injury is considered "pre existing"? Therefore we will most likely need to cover under our salary cap this year. Manly supposably arguing case.

But Snake and management have NOT agreed to payout yet, with a recent offer rejected. We had jumped the gun. Evidently there may be some hostility between parties and will not be resolved anytime soon.

That's what made me laugh when I read that there is not likely to be any dispensation. Every man and his dog knew full well that Choc had a history of knee problems since about 2010.

I just don't understand this. The club gave him the extension - at the time I thought thy were crazy because he had been injured and there was zero pressure to extend - so they have to pay him. If he's too injured to play they still have to pay him. As it should be. He absolutely should hold out for the full contract.
What am I missing?

Pre-existing at the time of agreeing the current contract. Ie: you knew what you were getting.
We should have done what Parra did and had phantom injuries occur in the first training session this year.

I would say that Matai's injury prevents him from playing whatsoever, or perhaps 75-25, whereas Stewart could still play if the club didn't want to pay him out, at what ability, who knows?, so perhaps he's on a contract of around $700,000 and the club only offered $400,000, and Brett wants a full payout.

Dce in all seriousness needs to take the ball to the line to be talked about in JT land, the ability is there. thats the one thing Foreskin did well we need him to take line on both with pass and run that said the hooker need to pass the ball to his chest and not his ankles.
