[Resurrected] Marty's rumoured wanderings thread

If players want to move to another club while still under contact then there should be a transfer fee paid to the existing club which is then included in the new clubs salary cap

For someone like Marty the transfer fee should be say $500k
That works if the other team want the player badly enough - in most cases it's the opposite where the player is moved on and his contract is subsidised by his current team. Transfer fees already exist, I believe Panthers put one on Moylan which priced us out of the race - they waived it for Sharks as player swap with Maloney.

Have you heard if anyone of note is leaving supreme leader? Seems to be way too much smoke for there not to be any fire.

Been in the sin bin with a few of my contacts recently, so I've been concentrating on business which also gets me out of trouble with my princess at home. With the season finishing and the finals starting, I'll be attending a few get togethers, which some of the players will be there. If I pick up something, I shall share. Personally I am frightened we will lose some of the young development players due to their impatience to play NRL.

Thanks for the info mate, at this point, most news we get about the club is bad, so im not expecting anything good.

Jorge should be let go, as should've api (pending if fainu is still going on his mission)

Parker should be let go for funa and Anderson

Winterstein should be flicked never to be heard from again as should Hodkinson who never should've been signed.

Kelly should be re signed, walker and Siro need big years to justify their future

A lot more value should've been put in lane, can't believe we let him go so easily

Paseka/tanginoa are all upside. Suli I'm undecided about, needs some fitness, but Is young and hopefully still on the improve

There is enough slots in our top 20 or so for us to let go some and keep others.

Tom wright is the real conundrum, no doubting the potential, but where does he fit and in place of whom

Which given our ladder position is dumb!!

May as well give the young fellas a go, may not change anything but bloods them with little pressure!

I really wish Jade Anderson, and Tom Wright got more of a go this season.

01. Tom Trbojevic
02. Jorge Taufua
03. Brian Kelly
04. Dylan Walker
05. Jade Anderson
06. Tom Wright
07. Daly Cherry-Evans

Add some absolute raw pace to the team.

Imagine them on one of their "on" days

ABC Grandstand

Martin Taupau speaks to @zanofc about Manly's future and his future: "Every organisation goes through these tough periods. We'll definitely come back fitter, faster and stronger. I'm here for another two seasons with Manly."

#NRLBroncosManly #NRL

Sounds like he’s definitely off to the Roosters then

It must be demoralising for forwards like him to do a lot of heavy work only to see our bumbling centres and wingers waste opportunities, miss tackles and generally embarrass themselves.
I don't know if this is a record at Manly but our forwards scored more tries this season than our backs.

Thanks Trent.

5 runs for 47m. That was a massive fuk you to someone.

Now Cronulla...

Hope he stays but jeez the big fella has been linked to more moves than Michael Jackson since he has been at Manly...
Well he does live in Alexandria or around that area I'm told. Makes sense geographically, .... you know for family reasons of course..

Would have been happy to let Tapau go and retain AFB
Sure that's what the plan was initially to let Marty go and keep AFP as the long term gun and I think many of us accepted that, but then AFB started agitating for a move and we folded quick smart and now here we are. Our latest mess.

There's been rumours about Marty since day 1 though that have been wide of the mark so I guess we'll wait and see.
