Brian Kelly & Lewis Brown

Suli had already played 16 first grade games before he came to Manly. Kelly had played none. Big difference in experience despite the younger age. Had two thirds of a season experience on Kelly so effectively you should be determining Suli's first year playing for Manly against Kelly's second year at Manly for a more accurate comparison.
The 20 year old suli has had 25 NRL games experience . 16 with the Tigers and 9 with Manly
The 22 year old Kelly has had 42 NRL games experience with Manly .
We can all defend and praise players that we like . At the end of the day it is up to each player to show their dominance on the field

Kelly (IMO) will turn out to be a good rather than a great centre.

He has his good points, especially in attack with strong acceleration and a good step. But he seriously needs to break his habit of rushing up out of the defensive line, especially when we're trying to defend our own line. All too often he rushes up, takes no one and leaves his winger facing a 2-3 on 1.

I agree, i don’t see any greatness yet. But he will be a good footballer, and other than teams like the Roosters you can’t have superstars everywhere on the park. We have one gun centre in Walker. At this stage i would rather keep him then let him go as there isn’t anyone on the market or within that is better atm.

42 games for Manly already at age 22. I'm liking those numbers

I'm sorry but what has Suli done to earn all this praise? So far he has been kicked from 2 clubs and almost from ours. He has shown nothing more then solid footy while Kelly has been one of better and more consistent players over his 2 years at the club.
I'm not sure it's praise, rather recognition mate. Suli's D is miles ahead of Kelly's at the moment and if he finds some form in attack, he could be anything. Kelly also needs to see some early ball and not be crowded by Turbo nearly every time he ventures that way. I think we have 2 very promising backs in Kelly and Suli.

The argument Bozo was not how many games they have now played but the claim that Suli was playing better than Kelly in his first year with us. But you can only assess their first grade experience based on the equal number of first grade games they had played in first grade. Suli had played almost a full year with Wests before coming to Manly. Kelly had not played first grade at all before coming to Manly. Therefore to assess their development in first grade at Manly you would virtually have to compare Kelly's second year with Suli's first at Manly. And though this is only opinion, I feel Kelly contributes more to the team than Suli at this stage

Lets not forget that when Suli came to us this year he did not have a pre season training with us and he was behind on pre season match fitness all together as he was stood down by his previous club .
You are entitled to your opinion feathered friend thanks to this great forum of ours .

The problem with your opinions @BOZO is that they rarely seem to be back up by any facts:
On one hand you are willing and waiting to accept Tom Wright as our one true saviour, despite the fact that those of us who have seen him play questioning his consistency and defensive ability, yet you are also willing to question the same areas of Kelly's game at the drop of a hat. Unless you can start providing some hard evidence to support your opinions then I'm sorry, but your opinion has absolutely zero value to those of us who CAN objectively process facts.
