Agree on Quac. I like him. Who knows, we may see Sipley get back to his best next year which would be nice
Sipley was great at the start of the season. What happened after the restart with his omission is a mystery. I saw him during the warm up & he looked big & fit. Why he was dropped for the likes of Boyle, Waddell etc is a question only the coaching staff can answer.

I was hoping for a different result today but after watching it didn’t surprise me the team has been like that for a while now , something you can’t fix in a week
They play dumb not sure why when they put in a good 10 or15 mins a game just can’t seem to maintain it
I think DCE tries to do too much and doesn’t play heads up footy so everything seem to be played in the moment , I also think not having your starting 1, 6 , 9 for most of the year really hurt the team
So it’s better luck next year after a disappointing season

The thing that summed up today's performance for me (along with most of the season), was midway through the second half, Danny Levi going for a short side play (after having minimal success numberous previously) on the 5th tackle and shifting the ball on to Corey Waddell to put in a grubber.

Headless chickens at times unfortunately.

Levi had an unhealthy fascination in Waddell today

Back from Gosford....feel better than last week after that game. It was always going to be difficult to win under the special circumstances and if there was any team I wouldn't mind losing to, it was the Warriors.

At least we showed up, certainly at the start and for some of the game...only a pity it wasn't for the whole game!

Strangest sight - instead of Burbo, AFB was ballboy!?!

Nice touches - playing Eagle Rock as Manly came on at the start and after HT (though it was our away game), Marty, Levi and Harper joining in the haka for Blair at the end and the tribute paid to the Warriors by the NRL for making 2020 possible and all their sacrifices.

Despite my initial reluctance, I'm glad I made the trek. Just a shame we lost on what was otherwise a nice afternoon and atmosphere. Bring on 2021!
Your braver than I was, had tickets but could not bring myself to watch that s$$$ performance live it was bad enough watching it on TV.

Gosford is a wonderful stadium to watch footy and hope we play there in 2021 where I may be bothered to turn up if our club does the same.

Anyone complaining about Foran coming next year, only needs to watch this uninspiring effort. He may get injured regularly now but he busts his ass and inspires.Dogs were poor this year and had a talentless team, but they played above themselves many times and Foran had plenty to do with that
Imagine if we'd played any of the good sides the last month. Pathetic bunch of losers.
Yeah , we're really lucky we had such a soft run home

Where do we go from here? We don't have the squad, we don't have the money, we don't have the owners ...
Yep owners and staff are as bad as our on field team this year. While the membership team workers who answer the phone/ email have been easy to communicate to I feel this year the whole department has been very less engaging with fans and has not taken many virtual opportunities to interact with fans this year.

As a whole I feel this club has been very poor this season and will need a complete overview in the off season

I fear for 2021 if things don't change.

In year 2015 which 2vs got sacked

Played 24 games
11 wins 13 defeats
2 byes points for 458 against 492

Us this year
Played 20 games
7 wins 13 defeats * at half time
0 byes points for 361 against 495

So 2V's gone yet hasler gets a free get of jail pass.

I support des and the club but those statistics are very damming for this once proud club.
It's a results driven business , someone said that before but I forgot who

Thanks @davohan123 and you're right I had to summon up my bravery for one last game. Incidentally it was amazing how many Manly fans braved it too and certainly outweighed Warriors fans.

Agree about Gosford, it has lots of pluses, its an awesome stadium.

After having a ticket for last week, I decided not to go. Excellent decision.

Instead of watching today, I drove home from visiting family in the Hunter. Even betterer decision.

Disappointing doesn't even begin to describe it.

The only joy left this year will be watching the Worms go out in straight sets.

I just watched the big league wrap and they spoke about us, Ennis I never liked the bloke but said it really well “ Des will be stewing over the 500 points conceded in defence this season and will be hurting over the coming months.
he said our boys would be in for a tough off season”.

I tend to agree Des is too proud to see this season be the legacy he is remembered by.

If Des can’t get us a club up in 2021 then he never will.

They're not even good
Here's what I see as the problem with our backs:
DCE is the only one consistently capable of setting up a movement. He would be so effective in a well coached backline. When Turbo was playing we were dangerous in attack mainly due to DCE looking to put him into gaps.
The Shoe was the only 5/8 we tried who took pressure off DCE because this kid has so much attacking ability. If he stays fit next season our backline will improve markedly.
Parker is good defensively but has no attack. He doesn't have the skill set to be classed as a good first grade centre.
Harper looks like he'll be one of our permanent centres next season. I'm hopeful about him.
Tyfuna should be the other centre because he can attack and goes looking for opportunities.
Our wingers are starved of opportunities because players such as Sir Loin won't pass and and always turn back inside. He must change his style. And because our kicking game is so poor we rarely score from kicks or get repeat sets.
Suili is just a big body and is more suited to the forwards.
Walker used to have pace and skill but he has rarely shown it when playing for Manly. He disappoints me.
Overall, our backline players tend to run too far, ineffectively, without looking to set up their outside man.
If you watch the Tits, for example, they throw the ball around which gives space to their wingers.
It's a sad day when a Manly team is so poor in attack, and when I'm pointing to the Tits as an example for us to follow.
