GAME DAY GRUMBLE BUMS! (and Ladies)

woohoo!

Last chance to wonder why each week Jethro tells us - Please DO NOT post any Pre-Game Discussion in this thread. - when he always automatically locks the thread so no one can post any pre game discussions in it!?!?!?!?!?!

Then he unlocks it on game day.... and we can post pre game discussions in it! lolololol - sort yourself out big J (kidding, love your work)

Anyway pitter patter, lets get at 'er...!

Last (unfortunately) game of the year! Lets go for a big win!

As interesting as it would be...I'd hate to see a YART of all the players that posters demanded Des play but it's been interesting reading your fervent points why.

So drop your er... locks and grab yer socks... it's game day!

woohoo!

Go Manly!

Warriors forward Adam Blair has announced he'll retire from rugby league after this weekend's clash with Manly, ending a 15-season NRL career.

The 34-year-old had an option in his contract to play another season but decided now is the right time to hang up the boots.

Last game of the year. How much torture will they put us through this arvo. Drop balls, poor kicks, dumb penalties, set restarts , intercept passes, running around in circles. Worst time of the year when your team is sh*t and not a finals contender.

I hope it not another game of touch footy. Boreing as batship
Love to still be watching a contest in the 70 th minute

But i suspect this will be like my morning constituional , going through the motions.

Footy is a funny game. Just because your not finals bound , the team can clock off, give second rate performances but still get paid.
I understand players not going to be here next year to an extent , but the team has been playing at 70 %. Poor attitude = poor defence

Expecting a big and smarter game from dce. Origin selection on the line

Havenโ€™t we seen some touch footy already this weekend , **** me these set restarts are a massive MASSIVE advantage for a team that gets a lot of them in a row.

Think I saw about 6-8 to to the Tigers last night and itโ€™s no wonder they were leading at the time.

The finals are going to be terribly one sided , blowouts across most games I think!

We are not finals contenders because we dont have a full team of competitors
We have passengers in our 30 man squad that I hope will get off the Manly bus at the end of the year and make their way and play in a lower division where they belong

We need to replenish our 2021 squad with competitors

Benchmark Perspective .....
Without nine regular first grade players and blooding a*** host of rookies***, the Raiders continued on their merry way in a 38-28 win against the Sharks at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.

Raiders Under 20's beat Sharks NSW Cup side by 38-28 in a meaningless match in a dead rubber game a week out from finals.

There's always at least two perspectives.

Lack of discipline and complacency contributes to set restarts and teams deserve the punishment they get .

I only see one Competitor Benchmark perspective and that is .....
if your are a competitor you will give your team a chance of victory and not drag them down to a loss or a flogging
The under 20s competitive raider rookies did the raiders proud

Thankfully I have kids AFL grand finals on today so won't have to sit through another painful 80 minutes of Manly mediocrity. Hope they show something positive to finish off the season.

Hope .. and the fact that ours sometimes come true ... is what seperates us from Parra fans ..

Rip in Manly ... 10th spot is up for grabs ...

*2020 season will be over in just a few hours.
Seems a long time ago that the season was suspended and we didnt have these new rules that changed the game. It's been toture for fans but spare a thought for those who have suffered throughout this year, lock downs and loss of jobs, death of loved ones far away and having to watch a funeral live streamed on facebook ( as i had to) our pathetic season still gave us something to divert our attention to and maybe there is a little hope for the future.

Go Manly Premiers 2021.
