Buzz has an NRL wall of shame?
He should be front and centre...

I am a little perplexed at some of the comments on here. Firstly, I believe no person here on silvertails would condone DV against any person, let alone a female, or a child.
However, for all those that believe Walker must be banished, sacked, let go... I have a very simple question;
Did you see the incident first hand from start to finish? Or is the opinion based on hearsay from a third party (a journo).
I personally do not like Walker due to the way he conducts himself. However, I know there are three sides to every story and we should all be very aware by now that ‘journos’ will stick the boot in to our club, players and fans at every available opportunity.
I honestly could not care less if Walker never plays for us again, and if found guilty he should not play for anyone again. In saying that, any matter in the criminal jurisdiction carries the presumption of ‘innocent till proven guilty beyond a resonable doubt’
Just because I dont like the guy, he has a human right and a legitemate expectation under our rule of law to have his matter heard by a court and pressumed innocent, until proven otherwise.
As above I dont like the guy, but its not my position to judge him until all the evidence is tendered and examined, to arrive at a formal decision with reasonings of those decisions.
Lets not forget several other players in the NRL have done just as bad if not worse, even at our own club (one who currently plays with us), yet we are happy to have that player on our books.
His fiancee didn't take the avo out against Walker, the police did. She’s got injuries and an AVO has been taken out on him and he’s been charged. The fiancée obviously thinks he’s responsible. The only way he’s found not guilty here is if she changes her mind, à la Greg Bird’s girlfriend. You were happy Greg Bird was allowed to play on, because the justice system works right?

FMD the assault was over playstation game?
NSW Police will allege that an argument over PlayStation led to NRL star Dylan Walker assaulting his fiancée, when the Sea Eagle faces Manly Local Court on Tuesday.
The Daily Telegraph reports that a fight over a video game caused the incident where Walker allegedly yanked the hair of his 24-year-old fiancée as she ran out of their Dee Why home.

Very good points regarding his rights to be heard in the courts and the presumption of innocence. The problem is this guy has an alarming track record of misbehaviour. He probably needs some psychological help and IMO the rugby league world where winning takes priority and young men are hero worshiped because they can play the game just may be the exact opposite of the environment Dylan needs at the moment to help him become a good man. Which is what counts.I am a little perplexed at some of the comments on here. Firstly, I believe no person here on silvertails would condone DV against any person, let alone a female, or a child.

He'll plead not guilty so his case will be adjourned, which will give him time to attend anger management classes & start doing a lot of high profile community work so by the time his case comes up he'll have had plenty of time to demonstrate he is a changed man, which will lessen the severity of any sentence he receives if he's found guilty.
On the matter of whether or not his fiancee may change her mind & withdraw charges - I thought the police were able to continue with DV prosecutions even if the plaintiff withdraws their statement?
Several major flaws with your analogy.
1. Being charged is one thing, being convicted and sentenced is another.
2. Since when is a legal issue determined on what an individual thinks?
3.Changing her mind is not the only way Walker can be found not guilty. The evidence can be tried and all these witnesses cross-examined, then based on those facts, not opinions, a decision can be handed down.
4. Was I happy for Greg Bird to play on? Can you kindly show me where and when I have suggested, indicated, or stated on silvertails, or any where else, that I was happy for Greg Bird to glass his girlfriend and play on?
#Breaking - Dylan Walker leaves home with his fiancée Alexandra Ivkovic at his side. He’s due to face court shortly charged with assaulting her last week. Police took out an AVO against him on her behalf after neighbours allegedly witnessed him attack her.
Mate we have all sorts of players in the nrl that have been done for far worse.. i dont think we should sack him at all. In fact we can get a cheaper contract out of him next season now hes a proven degenerate lol. Still better then what afb did by a country mileDon't know how he could go overseas with an assault on him .
