Slater Knob Fest

I’m not watching any football related show this week as the #billyfest will be WAAAAAY to much to handle.

I’ll probably watch the game though, and really hope whoever wins only wins because of an absolute clanger by a ref!!

And the watch the social media meltdown, wouldn’t that be juicy!!

Imagine in the future if we ever get to another grand final
9 will have billy cam and JT as commentators
Yes first year in a long while want the GF done and dusted quickly so we can focus on 2019.
If come this time next year we have not made any improvements and we are exactly in a similar position to right now on all fronts, I fear this club won’t servive much longer.

I've heard it all now.....

Some pea brain Drizzle fan on Facebook is trying to say that its "pretty much impossible to perform a conventional tackle in that situation"

Hmmmm I think I've lost count over the year how many times I saw fullbacks like Garry Jack, Gary Belcher, Matty Ridge, Anthony Minichiello and Snake all take players into touch with "conventional tackles" in the same situation Slater was in with Feki. And no doubt some here would have also seen Wombat do it countless times.

Studs Up could have easily pushed Feki out or taken him around the legs and put him into touch and he had plenty of time to choose either option. But instead he chose to do a shoulder tackle. No one to blame but himself if he misses out, and he should miss out.

Tis impossible to perform... if you're a pea-hearted grubasaurus

The whole future of the game depends on Billy playing, just ask Terence

Lets start calling it NML rather than NRL. NML means National Marble League. They may as well play touch football. If Slater does not play it is certain AFL will be the major game in Australia. NRL will be irrelevant.

Alec Tennant (the pig) would have taken him into the grandstand without breaking stride ......

Under the current rules, yes he should be suspended. But regardless of how we feel about Slater and the Drizzle, its a stupid rule. We'd have all been blowing up nuclear if Snake had been forced to miss a GF for Manly because he did the same thing, and we'd blow up if it happened to Turbo.
Turbo would never make that tackle as he would be 5 meters from the play.

but back then shoulder 'collisions' were allowed and Alec (The Tank) Tennant could lay on a ripper but yes his straight on balland all tackles were a beautiful terrifying thing ... pity there aren't any youtube highlights

That's what Gallen said on 100% Footy last night, except he said pushed, taken him around the legs or 'around his stomach' and put him into touch. He had other options but went with the shoulder charge

Really? Isn’t he the skinny little dr who actor?

Nah, that's David Tennant. Though he did play Alec Hardy in Broadchurch.

He was born David McDonald but took "Tennant" as his stage name (which he got from Neil Tennant, the Pet Shop Boys frontman).

He also told his parents (at age three) that he wanted to become an actor because he liked Dr Who!

Now, where were we?

Yes, Slater is a knob.

He should get an extra week for all the blatant lying he is doing. "Oh I thought he was going to step inside... Oh I thought blah blah blah)

I think Alec tennant probably named himself after the pet shop boys too right?

I wonder, if Billy goes to the hearing on a sponsors private jet, as was reported yesterday, will the cost of that count towards the salary cap?

Cause surely that is a 3rd party type payment which can't be exempt if it is a club sponsor, and I'd imagine a private jet charter wouldn't come cheap.

Also, I read somewhere that, if he gets suspended, that as a suspended player he is not allowed on the field at all. What price that rule gets lifted? 9 or Fox will have him as a special sideline commentator to get around that rule, no doubt.

This is Ryan Hall scoring for England against Australia at Wembley in the 2011 Four Nations......

Take a look who comes across and tries to do exactly the same type of hit he put on Feki on Friday night. Though on that occasion it backfired big time because he did his shoulder.

Once a grub, always a grub.

He’ll get off for sure... the whole he’s been charged angle is nothing but an NRL smokescreen so people can’t carry on about Billy favouritism. Almost all of the NRL sponsored media dimwits have been setting up the whole he’s innocent because his right arm makes contact first angle, non stop for days. It’s sickening. Slater is a cheating grub, evident by the way he got two players binned earlier in the season by faking contact (which was lauded as wonderful gamesmanship by the media). At a time when fans should be celebrating a genuine warrior and advocate for the game in Luke Lewis, all we hear about is the little grub from Melbourne. As if the SOO farce wasn’t enough, now we have to endure the two faced cheat and his bucket loads of false humility all the way through to the end.
