Ok - I'll bite.

I love the passion; everyone who says that they are a real Manly fan - and can afford it - should be a member. I agree.

However, I don't think you have a real handle on how difficult it is, and may have been, for some over the past two years. Imagine having your household income decrease by over 80%, with a mortgage still to pay. All from circumstances that you didn't initiate, and can't control. Imagine wondering how you were going to afford even the basics of life like food; football memberships, like many things, are purely discretionary purchases. Imagine no discretionary purchases at all, and having to default on your mortgage for over 18 months. All of this has been my journey.

Don't tell me I'm full of @#$% if I haven't bought a membership lately. Be encouraging, by all means. But don't disparage others unless you know everyone's personal circumstances - which you don't.

Signings on the Manly club membership is very quite indeed !!!

We all come on this forum to express our feelings of highs and Lows about our Legendary club and this passionate Club membership Ladder is my all time low and us Manly fans are responsible .

Where is our Manly passion ???
We seem to ignore this ladder and make excuses for it
There is no excuse but only Passion that makes us Manly fans who we really are

If one had complete leeway to reduce your public and private persona to a bare whisper - which I don't - we would find out where on Maslow's hierarchy of needs you stand.

In other words, if enough pain was brought to bear on your life in all areas, circumstances would dictate what you would do, or not do - and I have no doubt I would hear what would sound like an 'excuse' at some point.

PS - the key to raising the memberships number is not badgering people on a fan website or questioning their commitment. You'll just get them offside. It should be started as a multi-channel enticement campaign, initially targeted at everyone from Palm Beach to the Bridge, and across from Hornsby to Ryde. Even an incremental increase in our core catchment area would pay dividends. Make Turbo the face of it.

With Sirro confirmed to be going to the UK next year, some have been agitating for the next acquisition / replacement.

I'd rather money goes into keeping both our current second rowers for as long as possible - they are both champions and the club must do whatever it takes to keep them and help them be the best they can be.

I can sense 15 other clubs circling around the Shoe and Guaca in the next few years - I don't want to see a repeat of the Solomon H story. The Roosters in particular like to pinch talent we've developed - this cannot happen.

The only concern I have around Sirro leaving is depth but 65 games in 5 years doesnt exactly spell out reliability. I can see a version of this where Sims go to Tigers and Manly picks up Garner.

I think we are a bit skinny on edge forward depth. Davey coming back from an ACL at his age doesn't fill me with excitement. Who else we got ?? Young Burbo I suppose is one option. Keppie has filled in there a couple of times. Lawton is probably the best option.

I think we could do with a signing there for depth but it'll be hard to entice anyone decent as they will have to sit behind Guac and Shoe and wait for an injury. A fringe guy might be the best option

Speaking of gun young centres, I'd never heard of Matt Timoko until we played the Raiders and he gave us plenty of problems, hard to tackle. Not that we need any centres ourselves, but wouldn't surprise me to see him go far.

Well, I don’t disagree, but he had a shocker against east in what would of been his biggest game to date, I expected a lot more from him after seeing him in that game against us.

Its a tough side to crack and he is only 20, I wouldn't write him off. I think he still has a big future ahead of him.
