Salary Cap Witch Hunt. **Appeal unsuccessful**

Well Mark, we do have a sign thats says, Guess what, Manly hates you too, so I am pretty sure there will be no sympathy , so we shouldn't expect any. We cant put out signs like that and expect other supporters to feel sorry for us. Me personally, Im not a fan of signs like that, but thats my opinion
I love that sign. There's been anti-Manly campaigning by the media since the 70s/80s, convincing all opposition fans to hate us. Generations have passed this onto their kids and now probably grandkids.
People still sprout that we're silvertails, when our club has been scraping the barrel since the super league war.
All commentary on games is extremely anti Manly.
Greenberg seems to change the rules at any opportunity where Manly are involved. First he took stole De$ ruining our premiership celebration.
Then there was no leeway with Glenn Stewart's contract. Parra player Choc gets excluded from the cap to retire injured when his list of pre-existing injuries were longer than Santa's naughty list. Completely different treatment for Snake and Matai.
Now it's the second year we have to play with a limited roster due to our club's TPA operations being examined in a manner that no other club has. The opposition fans can say what they like.
Hate them back. We're not going to change others' ignorance.
But we'll recover from this and rise to the top where we belong.
Manly hates you too!
Go Manly!

Prepare yourself for loads of **** from opppsition supporters.

“ the darkest day in Rugby League” is just around the corner.

Toggy grinning like a Cheshire Cat!!

That’s really something to Cap off the weekend!!

Well maybe the Aussies cricketers have saved us from the darkest day thing with there blatant cheating and admitting that they planed it, that might take some heat off us lol :lipssealed::swear:

If a penalty is announced, it must come with a clear and detailed explanation in layman's terms of exactly what we are guilty of.
I'm sure most Manly fans would accept a penalty and be very disappointed in the club, if we have gone around the rules.
But if Greenback doesn't spell it out then there will just be ongoing resentment and mistrust towards the NRL and no-one can move on.

Greensprog doesn't give a sh-it about providing transparency. He's a law unto himself.

He doesn’t have to but as a paying member i expect the club to explain in detail what the issues were and how they were misinterpreted.

It has been the biggest secret with only drips and drabs of info through the media which at the best of times is heresay.

I respect the privacy issue during an investigation but that is now over and the cards should be put down on the table.

Maybe bring in players we already have such as Fainu and Suli.

No that’s not my point, we have players we can bring up but if we don’t have any Cap left how do we pay them??

If Hooper is right and it’s an $800k hit on our cap ( as a fine) then we can’t afford to either upgrade or buy anyone!!

Love to see it but bet that doesn’t happen, it will be a cloud of secrecy from our side.

AND, if we lose ( which it appears we are) I wouldn’t be surprised to see Penn appeal, and then it goes for another year!!

It would have been cheaper for Penn to hire someone to take out Greenturd and the rest of the wankers

If the NRL announce major changes to the TPA’s following the investigation then they might have reason to take it further. It sounds like a grey area that they are trying to firm up.

during the parra investigation the media were provided with exact details of companies involved, what they actually did (dodgy invoices for uniforms etc) the $ amounts and players involved. In our case I don't believe anything has been released, I and I am sure many others haven't got a clue. Any ideas why?

Probably because all the other clubs are doing the same thing or worse.

Buzz Rothfield reporting that our fine amount will be approx $400k and this will be enough to stop us signing anyone else (maybe we don't have $800k free to spend). He said the decision will be handed down tomorrow.

Different to what Hooper said - $500k-$1m fine and handed down sometime this week.

We shall see who has the better insider....?

Buzz would've been on his 12th schooner by mid afternoon and he just couldn't slur out $1M.
