This is where Barrett totally loses me!! Our season is done, he has already decided to cut Matt Wight for next season, yet continues to pick him while ignoring the other Wright, who produced one of the most positive plays any of our players have produced in weeks!! Matt Wright is a safe selection, selecting Tom is all about the future and he NEEDS GAMES!!!

Thought I would share a memory. After the last game in 2016, I attended the function at Brookie Hotel.
The myths listed above were having their own private function out in the public area. Marty was sitting at the public bar with AFB for at least 2 hours by themselves. DCE left early, well before any other players.
I thought there seemed to be some fractures back then, and it certainly appears that way now.

This just doesn't surprise me. We need them and DCE cleared out. We need Jake as capt. then the other forwards will follow him. Fainu at halfback and Tom W at 5/8th. No club would take DCE at the stupid money we've paid him so now he's going to be a lead weight around this club.

Reality is that we should have done better than just scrape into the 8 then go out in a whimper last year. A decent coach would've had that team in top 4.

Telegraph Mirror on May 5th suggests that he and a few others would not be offered any deal for 2019, He is a safe selection and he does not cut it anymore in first grade, we need a younger and faster option as a winger. He plays to the best of his limited ability, Barrett has made the call so my question is why he continues to pick someone who is no longer in his long-term plans?

So Barrett allowed players like Jesse Ramien and Liam Knight to leave, then recruits Hodkinson, only to play him out of position and function, then proceeds to reinstate Walker at 5/8? I am confused.

I acknowledge that Knight had a misdemeanor or 2 however, they recruited Walker, Sironen and Koroisau, who brought a few issues with them too. Barrett banished Hastings to reserve grade, yet did not clarify if what he was suppose to have done was a sackable offence or not? From what we hear, seems not. I am confused by our direction, and have been for some time. I was one of the crowd calling for the coach to be given a fair chance. I must say that both him and his team have been given their chance. Time to move them on as, we need a clear direction, based on our DNA as Manly.

Matt Wright is mediocre IMO . Holding young guns out of our top squad to keep this pop gun is not the right way to head to a bright future

I think that's harsh on Wright. He lacks a little speed but I would take him over Uate all day. He has been a good depth player for Manly

Cheap, can cover numerous positions adequately. Does the job asked of him all the time to the best of his ability.
