He's got many more tricks up his sleeve Woodsie. I've watched Ponga and the skills he shows and Tom Wright is just as clever. He just doesn't seem to commit himself as much as Ponga, perhaps because of a couple of serious injuries he suffered when he first came to Manly. But he is that sort of player who can create something from nothing in an instant. Any small gap and he's through. Good awareness of his supports too. Good short kicking game and the speed is very deceptive...almost seems that he's running casually and suddenly he's past a player. He and Tom T could establish a dangerous partnership if they are coached well. He had a fine partnership with Anderson, who is also fast and strong in U20s and is presently in the Reggies. Manly have some talented kids on the rise if they can keep them and get the right coaching to link them effectively. Barrett wasn't thinking clearly when he failed to give Tom Wright a chance earlier and also have Anderson in the 30, along with Fainu, Funa and probably Cust. Instead he kept good second graders like brown, John Wright, Matt Wright etc and the aging Uate.
