Here's a perfect example of how pathetic the penalties are for some tackles.

3 week suspension for a grade 3 cannonball tackle and the player tackled gone for the season and 12 months of rehab.

This does nothing to stop these destructive tackles.

Parker is a better option when we have Schu at backrow and Tommy out the back but I reckon with Davey and Garrick filling those spots Harpers extra speed and footwork suits the the team better.

In order, I say our top 4 fastest players (at least in first grade) are Saab, Koula, Turbo and Garrick.

And when you consider that Saab and Koula are arguably 2 of the 3 fastest players in the NRL.....

Just cause Harper has played a handful of games without costing us the game, doesn't mean he's playing well. If by such disgraceful standards, we are calling this good form then we have stooped quite low. We all know Parker's a bit of a plodder but he's big, strong defensively, tough carries, great lines, plays direct, is by far and away a more complete, consistent and dependable performer. There is no two ways about this people. Lionel is a reserve grader who can fill in for a game here and there. Parker is a genuine nrl player. Big difference

Is he a better prospect there than burbo. I feel like they both cover the same role with an attacking edge going to burbo and probably defence to Parker. Though that may just be that Parker has mastered our structures which burbo would learn through time. I don’t really know how we carry them both in the starting 17

I'm guessing they are leaning more to making Burbo a back rower more than a centre.

If I had no pace (hey, I do have no pace) I would love having someone like Saab outside of me knowing that if I can't make it, daddy long legs certainly can.

Most of Harper's time in the NRL has been with Jason Saab on his outside. And lets face it, they do combine well.

I think Harper's got more speed off the mark than Parker, he's surprised me a couple of times in the past fortnight

He is more elusive and maybe a fraction faster, but only fraction. I wouldn’t call his speed an asset. I’ve seen him get smoked by some players of pretty average speed over the last 18 months. He’s one of those players who looks like they’re going faster than they actually are, until they get in a foot race.
