I'm not sure what's more lolworthy, Parra's financial cheating fail or Cronulla's systemic doping cheating fail. How bad are you going if you blatantly cheat and still can't win anything ? At least the Storm had something to show for their unethical efforts.

Make him pay the overs money back and get him audited by the ato. That'd wipe the smile of his dial.

The real problem that parramatta face is that offloading players half way through a season, after you have been paying them for nearly 6 months already means any money you save by discarding them to another team is effectively only half of their true worth.

Even if say Corey Norman is on 500k and they were looking to move him on early, the saving them really make on the cap is a paltry 250k as they've already paid him the other 250 this year.

It seems like a weak penalty at first but Parramatta effectively have to discard twice the players they would have had to 6 months ago to get themselves back under the cap.

Its not happening, theyre screwed and they are only making it worse the longer they hold out on the inevitable.

True, but I can see the logic of the ruling. They lose all the points they won with a team over the cap. And can only start getting more points IF they can shed players and get below the cap.

Quite a joke if Parra are allowed to make the 8. They should be out of contention. Sets it up for others to do the same. Rort, get docked but still compete with a quality roster. Load of BS.

This is a real mess. The players want to stay together and play together. If that happens that means we will have 1 team that is illegal playing against 15 legal teams. They will not get points but how fair is it to the other 15 teams.
