Post-Game Discussion Bulldogs v Manly [Round 25, 2022]

We have lost 7 in a row.. yes i know it is bad. It never should of come to this.. But I can't see how many people here can be filthy about tonight's loss. Alot of people on here, harp on about giving the younger boys a run, give them some experience, I don't mind losing if it gives them a showcase, build for next year etc etc.. well tonight's game was exactly that. It may not of been intentional, but we had something like 10 players out. The season was over weeks ago. I for one, was happy to see weekes, roumanos and vaega get some quality time. A win would of made it better, but I was never expecting to win tonight anyway

The team that played today was a shadow of 2021.

Just take out the back 3 and look at the numbers. over 60 tries and 100+ conversions / penalties.

Jake our best defender gone. heart of team

Paseka - big tackle breaking forward out

Lawton - took a hell of a lot of pressure off croker out

walker having to play full 80 min instead of the game breaking replacement hed become.

If we can get all our players back on deck and playing well we will be fine next year. fingers crossed.

What actually hurts me in saying, coz hot damn he tries hard, but Croker was awful again tonight. I feel so bad seeing his often almost confused look after errors, drops and forward passes - we NEED spark out of dummy half.

all out as well.

I know 3 of those 5 and let’s be honest they don’t hold a candle to the guys we had out. Honestly doesn’t matter who we had out or them. Games over and s is the season. Bring on the cricket.

You're ignoring the fact that the **** plays 1 in 4 games and is our highest paid player.

Like I said, when Tom Trbojevic is fit he is the best fullback in the world. Yes even better than Tedesco. Playing him at centre for Manly is only playing it safe, but it doesn't mean he still can't get injured.

Yeah, and if he gets injured in the centres he’s more easily replaced than when he gets injured at fullback. It’s less of a disruption if you have a very good fullback.

I understand if you’re happy with Garrick’s efforts back there when he has to replace Turbo regularly.
