Match Stats

WE ARE JUST A DUMB SIDE. it's not the coaching. A number of the players just don't have the footy IQ.

Case in point Dylan walker on that last set. 1.28 on the clock and he literally lays on the dog's player for near on 20 seconds, and gives away a six again. Doesn't mean we would have won but we need the dogs to get thru the set as fast as possible to at least have a shot.

I honestly think the first 20 min was played to the game plan and then the lack of IQ across the park ( DCE yes but many others as well) allow the side to go off script and we self-implode. that is not something that can be coached. Players either have it for they don't.
I think he was just trying to give away a penalty on purpose to stop play, so they could challenge to identify a knock on. The ref wasn't having it though

Very impressed with Vaega & Weekes - look very comfortable playing NRL. It's unfortunate they haven't played more games this year. Schuster didn't play many minutes - also underplayed his hand - seemed hampered by injury. Burbo played okay, but lacks pace. In future, Weekes would be a better option in the centres than him (IMO).
Des needs to persist with weekes in the lineup. He is going to be a good first grader.

Worst ever losing streak in the history of the club (75 years), and people are STILL defending dumb dumb Des, after 7 straight defeats.

No one should defend such a disappointing and degrading record of 7 straight losses

When we lower our great standards . We stand for nothing Great

Mr Penn owns our club and he now owns this record of loses in our Proud Manly History
And these consecutive record loses are nothing to be proud about

Des is our coach and he owns this record

All the playing group own this record

Proud Manly supporters will always support our Legendary club Manly

But we will never support Mediocrity

What is this obsession people have with moving Turbo to the centres? It works with NSW and the Kangaroos because there are comparable fullbacks out there like Tedesco. But the truth is that Tom Trbojevic is the worlds best fullback when he's fit. I'd rather him at fullback for Manly.

If you could promise me that Tom wouldn’t get injured, then yeah sure, I wouldn’t consider moving him. Fact is that the poor guy gets injured regularly and it’s a major disruption to the side.

Tom in the centres means we don’t have Parker or Harper in the centres. I’d never advocate for someone like Garrick to be fullback and Tom in the centres, but if Weekes is very good then you’re going to lose him and we’re going to keep finding ourselves in the same position. Seasons derailed because our elite fullback gets injured. It obviously all depends on how good Weekes actually is, there are a lot of very good fullbacks around, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Weekes could be another one.

are you serious?? Veaga is so slow my grandmother could catch him. I actually think he must be injured he was that slow. Nowhere near first grade standard.
100%.

He's so slow, you time him with a calendar.

Thought Weekes played very well , those Burton bombs aren’t easy so he needs to be cut a bit of slack for dropping one of them.

Too many errors to say he played well. Dropped the ball when scoring a try, ran into the sideline on tackle 1 and did a Ben Hunt and dropped the ball that gave the dogs the match.

He will improve thou.

Like I said, when Tom Trbojevic is fit he is the best fullback in the world. Yes even better than Tedesco. Playing him at centre for Manly is only playing it safe, but it doesn't mean he still can't get injured.

Apart from the fact he’s brilliant at fullback, you can’t afford to pay a million dollars for a bloke to play in the centres then leave less coin for a more important position
