The team that played today was a shadow of 2021.

Just take out the back 3 and look at the numbers. over 60 tries and 100+ conversions / penalties.

Jake our best defender gone. heart of team

Paseka - big tackle breaking forward out

Lawton - took a hell of a lot of pressure off croker out

walker having to play full 80 min instead of the game breaking replacement hed become.

If we can get all our players back on deck and playing well we will be fine next year. fingers crossed.

I think we all know if both sides were even close to full strength it would be an absolute bloodbath similar to last years result. We need to be healthy that’s all. We are healthy we are like 2021, injured, we’ll we just saw the result m.

They had 3 players out that scored over 60 tries last year
They had the top point scorer for 2021 and half of 2022 out.
They had a Jake Turbo out. heart and soul of the side.
They had a man mountain out like Paseka.
They had their starting prop out.

100 percent. I don't think anyone could argue with that. My only concern though is the other teams are recruiting well and getting stronger where we are not. The bulldogs won't be easy beats next year I don't think

Thought Weekes played very well , those Burton bombs aren’t easy so he needs to be cut a bit of slack for dropping one of them.

They may take a little time to gel, but considering they have bought half the comp, and coaching staff, over the last two years, they should be in the top 6 imo.

Ditto for nearly all of that Mick. Except the grog. 10 months on the wagon. What a fkn time to give it up. (Tbh, I did think at fulltime there would be no amount of drugs or drink that would make this shiitshow any better).

Agree. Although despite their recruitment I’m not sold on the dogs. They did similar this year and garbage still. Mahoney no spine, and kikau could be pangai Jnr Raquel in that team I reckon, especially after all his success at Pen. I mean look at Fox now. Just a winger.

What’s it matter if you’ve got a very good fullback on the cheap? Then if that guy is braining it you can decide on whether to keep him at fullback and pay him accordingly or let him go and move Turbo back if he’s been able to stay on the field.

Althou I think fullback is the hardest position to fill in at in the modern game. No hiding and its full on for 80 min. he went ok in my eyes.

Like I said to mave, they are a good halfback short next year. But there is no doubt they are gonna be a much better football team next year in my opinion.

Well I think I've drunk more the last 7 weeks than I have in a long time so maybe it's time to give drink and Manly mediocrity up. I'm so fed up with these fuking pretenders.
