Needs to go! What a dh Walker is! Would have a much better spine with Parker replaced by Walker and I know i'll get hate for this but Elegy needs to go for Hodko. He's a bit slower but still a better defender and offers more of a kicking and passing game IMO.

The big difference was Steve Mavin played front row all his life and went to centre when he got graded ( after playing centre SGBall ) . He had never played wing before that match.
Have a look on YouTube, he was awesome.
Before Half time ,on that fateful day vs Raiders - Steve was in the local pub having a drink at the bar :

I think you'll find nowadays alot of sea eagle supporters aren't or have never actually been from the northern beaches area. So there isn't really any sentiment there for a local junior I think. Most would back a Blacktown junior to start for us over parker if he was better and wouldn't think twice about it

I think you are probably right.
It's probably a sign of the times in that regard.
I didn't grow up in the area either but that's just what we did.
It was an a bit of an across the board thing.
We just didn't bag a Manly player, especially a home grown one, in the way this bloke cops it.
