    The Book of Albert

My expectations for this year dropped substantially when we lost Api/Fainu. I think a lot of people underestimate the impact that has had, along with Turbo.. thats where all our attack came from last year..

    The Book of Albert

-Storm have beat up most teams this year. -I think any win against a full strength roosters team is a good win -yes we were robbed against a red hot parra team, no shame in that -yes ordinary against Broncs, but still found a way to win Not sure what you are getting at. Anyhow im as gutted as...

    The Book of Albert

Believe me those players in those positions dont instill any real confidence in me either. But lets rewind a bit, up until Turbo got injured (again) we were actually doing ok, and still seen as a premiership threat by many.

The team you would pick next week ..

Wasnt Funa carrying an arm injury at the end there - wouldn't surprise if he is ruled out injured.

    The Book of Albert

We are obviously all speculating here - ill add my bit of speculation, Albert had already agreed/signed with the dogs weeks ago, and based on that info Des/Manly decided to loan him out as a 'punishment'.

    Manly linked to Jason Saab

Beanstalk of a winger would offer a point of difference being a real target for cross field kicks.. if he came cheap and room in the cap could be worth a punt, but wouldnt be paying overs..

    Andrew Abdo - Manly supporter

So was just revealed in a press conference today acting NRL CEO Andrew Abdo is a Manly supporter. Apparently when he first moved to OZ he lived in the northern beaches and that's where it all started.. Well its a far cry from our relationship with his predecessor..

NRL: Restarting May 28th. Grand Final Oct 25th

Im sure its been said already but anyway.. Lets be realistic here - this country was never in a full lockdown, so its not as if the NRL is taking these players out of the safety of their homes and exposing them to a high risk environment. I can guarantee you most/all of these players still get...

NEIN threatens to walk away from the NRL ..

Yep worst thing is how they control kickoff times.. especially with Origin. I dont know any other supposed professional sporting league around the world that delays a 'scheduled' kickoff time up to half an hour, well just cause it feels like it..

Winning the grand final this year...

Think i heard they were doing to reduce fatigue as theres a possibility they might need to play midweek games too? Cant see it happening. Whats everyone's thoughts on NRL playing 2 games a week if needing to catchup, like the good old days. Again cant see it happening.. With a big enough roster...

    Trial V Sharks

First time seeing Schuster 'live', definitely has all the skills - a genuine ball player you don't see much of nowadays. Hopefully Des encourages him to play his natural game if/when he makes the top grade. I must admit i thought he was a bit of a bigger body (thats what it looks like when...
