My reading of this is that Manly are 99% sure of chasing a Brit forward. That percentage probably drops into the low teens when confirming a signing is involved.
Someone then commented if it happened to be the English forward. Then I see the mole liked that comment. Other comments where made but the mole only liked that one. The Mole also rules out Thompson in a separate post.

It doesn't make any sense to me why an Englishman would sign with us a month or two after the superleague season has already started. Unless the Englishman already lives in Australia.

George Burgess suspended for the first 3 games of the 19 season. So even if he joins a new club he couldnt play until a "few weeks into he season"
