100% certain that the photo is of the 1972 Premiers. Both Dennis Ward and Allan Thomson (2nd Rower) were replaced by Johnny Mayes and Peter Peters in the 1973 Premier's side. Both teams were magnificently coached by Ron Willey.

Didn't like him sitting out, haven't like the sound from his management around where he should be playing and he's forms been down on last year.

However I give the kid a massive tick for turning his back on the World Cup to get himself fit for next season. Very Smart move because I think he has 1-2 seasons to cement himself in the half's before Latu Faniu comes thru.

Josh [ shu ] still looks like a solid unit and next to Haumole who is definitely a big unit . actually had the impression that Josh had dropped a little weight recently but maybe not that much . Harper seems to have a quite unique look with his Mo so prominent , might be trying to make it his trademark . Looks like Koula on the left of him . Good to see Tommy Symonds [ if that is him ] in the front section , really committed type player in his playing days and a good example for the current squad to be aware of

Could be the pessimism of another lost season kicking in, but I'd say the Titans are a big chance of handing us another loss. Even though the Titans are just the kind of minnows we usually like beating up on, they're due a win and we're… not. Rabble vs Rabble; winner TBD.
