The No-Look News (Schuster Chronicles)

Yeah I noticed that. At the end of the day, what Foran brings is more important than any other commodity we currently have in the side; competitiveness. He was possessed last night and did the jersey prouder than any player has thus far in 2022. All I ever want to see if commitment and effort from the team and Foran led from the front with those qualities.
Never changed he always keeps us in contests. I love what foz brings to our side.

Has he got a fight coming up and been spending some time with George Rose ?

can’t demand to play 5/8 when he currently would struggle to get anywhere near playing 80mins.

I’m not into players having to look like robots with the same body shape, he is clearly always going to be a bigger unit, I’ve give him leeway as it was an injury that kept him off his feet and he will run himself back into match fitness
Why do people keep saying that Schuster is demanding to play 5/8???? Where has it ever been stipulated that Schuster is pushing the 5/8 agenda?? Wish everyone would get off the kids back!

He looked like Feleti Mateo which is a concern. He really needs to watch his weight...and I mean really watch it.

However, he did some good things and clearly has all the talent in the world.
Careful. The PC fat shaming mob will be onto you.:lipssealed:

I think the issue for Koula and Saab is that they’re not on Foran/Schusters side. All the big backline plays of late have come down Foran’s side with the slowest centre Parker.Koula hasn’t seen much space and he’s basically playing Parker’s role of barging it up

I totally ageee with this post. It would be great to see these current centres and wingers swap sides.
I've always had this unofficial model/blue-print idea of centres being arranged like the Mark Gasnier- Matt Cooper combination. The number 3 is the attacking- runner and the number 4 is the solid defender. Maybe it's the tendency for playmakers to prefer right to left passing, sending attacking raids down their preferred sides. But Koula and Saab would suit the other side of the field better with our curent team

I want to apologise to @Jethro for being too sensitive years ago!
One day I was defending Jamal Idris for having a 'loose rig' on his own thread. Even though I've always been fit, I felt compelled to stick up for Idris. Jethro made an innocently/ light hearted comment and I think I shamed him a bit. Sorry Jethro! :peace:

It has to do with how DCE and Foran play.Whilst they compliment each other well,Foran plays more direct or traditional and looks to put the back rower or centre through a hole.Where as DCE plays off the cuff which at times can cramp the right side and not giving them early ball

Yeh I agree with this part too.
I was just adding my extra coffee dribble haha

Yep I tend to agree. Jake doesn’t offer enough in attack playing in the #13. He’s arguably our best defender and makes plenty of metres, when he just concentrates on hitting it up. That’s a role for a Prop. Schuster is so good, he could play Just about anywhere and have an impact. I’m sure in his mind (and his dopey manager’s) he’s a natural #6 and would be very good if given a shot there. However, he needs to appreciate the teams needs must come first.
Jake’s integral to the team and is on big money. He could easily make the shift to play Prop which opens up #13. Schuster would be a great fit in the #13 and before long could easily establish himself as the best in that position. Better that Yeo and Murray.
100% not to mention Jake was one of our best players when he came through in our forwards. I would love to see his passion after putting the big blokes on their asses

Wait until Tom's back, he creates a lot of opportunities down the right side either by drawing in defenders and offering a great hole or just by drawing defenders as a dummy runner

I'm still a bit shaken ... I can only hope that the mental image I copped from your comment .. Tom draws defenders and "offers a great hole" .. is not the image you intended.

Not so much Schuster, seems like the Jurnos keep stirring the pot on this, Weirder and others want to make this the big issue at Manly, but in all reality it's just a storm in a teacup.
