The No-Look News (Schuster Chronicles)

I probably shouldn't say it but if I'm honest I feel a little betrayed by whole Schuster saga. I realise he was struggling with a few issues but I'm not convinced that was the whole story. Losing 250k out of our cap for the next three years has left a bitter taste in mouth and whilst I will wish him good luck for the future he'll still become the enemy when he pulls on another teams colours.

My sentiments also, although, I'm more mad at the club for offering this outrageous Shyster deal in the first place. Actually, who ever authorised it should of been dismissed.

Good. He's the most talented player I've ever seen and I played all my junior footy a year behind Owen Craigie and the stuff I've seen that bloke do I couldn't get anyone to believe so I've stopped trying to explain it.

Schusters problem with Seibold was he had a coach who played a couple of Super league games a lot of high quality Queensland cup and some stuff overseas. But he couldn't manage such a prodigious talent, and it's not for me to explain why but I've kicked an arrow on the dirt road in the direction to follow if you want.

Wayne will unlock this guy and I hope it comes back to haunt the Manly club and all you miserable curmudgeons who schitcanned Shuster from the first moment he showed up with a bit of flair and skill that went against your 'just give me a solid cooper crink style' approach to a nineteen year old FFS.

And if you dig a little deeper there's a bit of 'too much pepper not enough salt' behind your thinking, but who am I kidding nine of you will, you'll just tear into each other and whinge without answers when the team you support is down after fifteen minutes then pretend none of that happened if Manly happens to win on the same day.

Wayne at least has the confidence and belief in himself and what he's doing that he doesn't think he needs to make Schuster do the same road runs as Lachlan Croker lest he cause team disharmony and find himself looking for a new job.

And he's said Wighton won't be playing 5/8 for him so look forward to seeing a structured complete half in Humphries and a weapon like Schuster freeing up Campbell Graham and Jack Wighton with latrell Munroe Gray et al. Or Cody walker one side and the shoe on an edge on the other.

FMD Souths are top four again if they pick up a saifiti

You may be right however he was given every opportunity to succeed at manly under both Des and Siebold. I think even Schuster has admitted that a) he got a fair go; and b) he just wasn't in the right head space. I wish him well however it was not meant to be at Manly. Schuster has to take some ownership for that.

I agree Shuster is probably the most talented player Ive seen.

The blame is not at Seibolds feet though IMO.

Shuster going through a bit, he'll hopefully come good in time. Just wasn't to be at Manly.

Good luck to him

Keep your shirt on TEE, so far Humphries and the Shyster haven't proved anything at all yet for 2025. Wish them the best of luck tho. In the meantime we'll have to wait and see if uncle Wayne can pull a rabbit out of the hat with the players he'll eventually have.

In the end who cares regarding the blame issue. This game is about outcomes. If he achieves his true potential, Manly has lost a star. Whether the fault lies with him or the coaches in the end is irrelevant. If he succeeds that is the only issue.

Not wanting to wallow in negativity, but I can't forget his comeback game at Campbelltown last year, when the Tigers fans were simply laughing at us.
Maybe we mishandled Josh. I personally think he was given plenty of opportunity at Manly. It doesn't matter whether Silvertails rated him or not, Seibold definitely did - he cut Foran, gave Schuster the 5/8 role and a fat contract. Other kids with less talent would have seized that opportunity.
I wish him well, maybe Wayne is the answer for him. We need to move on.
