It's interesting what we see as glaringly obvious, wife & young family to care for, Foran & people in his situation can't.
With that money we think of setting up your kid's future & making your own more comfortable.
It's like they're looking at life thru a dark curtain, just don't see it, poor silly bugger.

Generally they are far too young and emotionally immature to be:

1. Earning so much money at such an early stage in life. A case of 'Too much, too soon.'

2. Finding themselves with wives/partners/kids at a very early age.

What happened to playing the field? Especially with so much flange (sorry ladies) throwing themselves at these blokes?
... ahh the good old days Terry free love ... pre aids .... many kids today think to get into a monogamous relationship early is the safest way to have safe sex ... many rush into young relationships ... I have talked with my kids about that way of thinking

Too much money, too much free time, too immature, too stupid - over pampered kids don't know how to operate in the real world
Spot on

I heard a story a couple of years ago that Pearce came home to his unit one night and the power was off.

He called a friend who came over who asked Pearce if he had been paying his electricity bills. Pearce said that he never received any so his mate went down to his letterbox which was stuffed full of final notices for electricity, gas etc.

He asked Pearce why he had taken his mail from his letterbox and Pearce said that he didn't know that he had a letterbox.

He said that he knew that his parents had one out the front of their house but he didn't know what it was for.

Some footballers have no idea about the real world.

Extraordinary.

But let's face it, Pearce, with glazed stare and slurred speech, looks and sounds as sharp as a bowling ball.

The Rugby League Players Association is appalled by today's News Limited story relating to Kieran Foran.

We have been in contact today with Kieran, the Club's Welfare Manager and the NRL who all share our disappointment in the story and concern regarding the potential for it to impact on Kieran's mental health.

We have been informed there are factual inaccuracies in the story and we understand these matters, together with any breaches of privacy and confidentiality, are being pursued legally by Kieran's management, SFX Sports.

It is disturbing that a story of this nature has been published by News Limited when it is public knowledge that Kieran is currently dealing with complex personal matters.

Players are people first, and we do not believe it is unreasonable to expect compassion and empathy for individuals in situations such as this.

In relation to Kieran's health generally, he has been receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Brisbane. The treatment has progressed well and Kieran has recovered to the point that his Doctor considers it best for him to now return to footy as part of his treatment plan. This decision has been made by Kieran based purely on medical advice and what is in his best interests.

Kieran wishes to thank everyone for their well wishes and understanding of his circumstances, and requests that his privacy be respected as he continues to focus on addressing his health issues.

this is what's wrong with rugby league. The journos keep wanting to see the game cleaned up etc, but then go to gutter journalism and letterbox hunting to find stories such as Pearce and now this. They can 'choose' to decide if it's an issue, or a non or personal story.

You don't think Pearce shagging a dog, and a bloke blowing 75k gambling hours after temporary leave from rehab stories?

Does anyone think he may have gambled on a Rugby League game?

And if so will he be investigated?

I always rated Chez over him. I was so sick of the bull**** some people said about Chez being money hungry or being part of the reason for Gifty being let go.

The fact is Gift was past it and in hindsight it was a great decision. Another fact Chez would have signed for less, he wanted to stay at Manly and our management stuffed that up. So they had to pay him more after he had been offered a deal from the Titans. Foran was the one playing games when all along he knew he was leaving and it was for the money the slimey worms were waving around, (not for BA).

And it sickened me that some of our management stuck up for him saying that he was leaving for the coach, BA. It was bull**** he played Manly and they lapped it up.

Now the media are portraying him as poor Foran, he is dealing with so much. What rubbish, he is a spoilt brat with little regard for his actions and how they affect other people.

He is a narcissist and needs to take responsibility and get the help he needs.

People that play poor me and continue to **** on other people get no sympathy from me.

We are definitely better off with out this person at our club......!

Go Manly and go Chez............!!

no Woodsie, not for me to know about...isn't there guys out there this week doing great things for children in hospitals and stuff? Doesn't sell does it...

Is anyone blowing 75k on gambling something that should be published by someone in the media, are you serious.

And pearce was just drunk having a good time, if anything he showed disrespect to the woman. He didn't shag a dog, not even close...he was just being an idiot.

I personally find it very strange that he was whisked away to rehab while all the **** with Parra went down. Very suss.

So we should go the greenturd route and brush any negative under the carpet.

Appalled are they? How about Foran gambling in 2 hours what some people bust their ass an entire year to make? That is appalling. Also the fact the he see's Brad Arthur, the very person who leaked his supposed TPA issues with Manly to the media, as a messiah. He seems hell bent on suing everyone. May be a blessing he left.
