They look structured, strong defensively, and he is marshaling their troops really well.

His runs are strong, determined, and his kicking game has been strong. Just also put up 150 games.

This, given he is playing with a new fullback, and a team that has had massive player turnover.

I'd take a solid half right now. DCE, to me anyway, is coming off as a rookie that has been injected into a brand new team.

He doesn't appear as a 1.3 mill per year grand final veteran & prior SOO & International player that can take control of a team by the balls.

Solid will not win us that many games with a rookie 5/8 like Walker though. I suspect if Foran was our half we would be doing no better. I agree DCE is playing below his best but he has not been the root of our issues. I am confident he will come good.

DCE is more the old will of the wisp type of halfback, but he's one who will also get in there and do the tough stuff when its needed, and sometimes when its not. His biggest failings are that when down on form he tends to over play a bit trying to work himself out of it, and also he couldn't organise a piss up in a pub. It was noticeable against the Dogs and Tigpies that we were all over the shop like a mad woman's custard with him in charge. When Snake returned against Cronulla, DCE didn't have to organise and he looked a totally different player.

Foran was the organiser of the two which is why they complimented each other so well. He may not be doing much at the Speels in terms of making breaks, line break assists, try assists, kicks etc, but they are a lot more organised on the field with him direction traffic and its showing. His biggest problem is his heart. One minute he has one, the next he could care less.

Overall DCE has a better kicking game (penalty kicks for touch aside.....).

When Foran is motivated he is a hell of a competitor as we all know. Unfortunately we also know that when his heart isn't in it he might as well not be there. At least with DCE he's going to give his best every time even if he's down on form.

I agree, we need to stop replying to this thread, and it needs to be stopped so I am stopped from replying to this thread about the need to stop replying to this thread. I hope no-one replies to this thread to tell me to stop replying to this thread about others replying to this thread which keeps this thread open to replies.
