I'm still waiting with bated breath about the slanderous emails and documentation claimed to be held by DCE and his management team as far back as late March 2025 regarding this matter.

2nd best player of the year? 🤣 wasn’t even our 2nd best player this season. That’s laughable & embarrassing from them. A top player in the comp who is also captain doesn’t get dropped from origin after 1 game

Geeez I think that says more about the ABC that anything else.

Look I think his demise is a bit overated and obviously there is a bit of resentment from fans there.

However he did decline in 2025 and he showed very little consistency.

Statistically he was middle of the roud amongst halves (8-10th in most categories) bar try assists and line break assists where he was I think 2rd and 4th.

I think we will feel the impact of his departure but I'm also excited by the prospect of change.

Known rugby league experts, the ABC.

No doubt that he received points in every Manly win, because he’s the one player they can remember. Not the ABC, but I recall Hindy & Fletch saying DCE was “back to his best” against the Cowboys in Townsville earlier this year… When he had probably his worst ever performance in a win. No doubt the ABC would’ve applied those same rose-tinted glasses to DCE’s winning performances this year, no matter how poor he was individually.

As others have said, that wouldn't be the first award program to be judged by people who don't even watch the full games.

For a more accurate guide, see below (and yes while some of us may be prejudiced for/against DCE, I'd bet it's nevertheless true that no-one watches Manly games more closely than we Silvertails) 🙂
