In a recent interview TB said 'we'll be moving on players. At this stage we can't say who and why'. It was about cap space. So who's jumping ship left, right and centre?
For all we know it's about trades to try and get the right combination.

May I suggest you find out the numbskulls at the club who orchestrated the deal with DCE and take your frustrations out on them. DCE was the recipient of a once-in-a-lifetime deal, much the same as when Packer came across Alan Bond. What do you expect DCE to do? Knock back the deal?
And while you are finding out who the birdbrain was see if he was the same one who negotiated the Mr Plod deal.
IMO it was he/the club who has stuffed up our roster and chances for success, not DCE.

You have your reasons for your opinions. I have mine. Be a fricken boring world if we all thought the same. The reason I defend DCE is because I just don't like the relentless bagging he cops from all angles and most of it is media driven.That sort of stuff can be very damaging to people. If it was any other player I'd be the same.
Anyway, like you I hope we can bounce back from this horror season ASAP.

1. Players (the Stewarts, et al) played for less than market value so they could keep a strong team.
2. DCE arrived in the team and thought the team was doing well because of him and he deserved more, boycotting training until he got a snap upgrade.
3. Others players didn't gel with DCE because he didn't think of the team, just himself, through his desire for the highest pay possible.
4. Others players were shunted to keep DCE. Players who made salary sacrifices now had to move on to pay the sweet salary of another who has to some extent ridden on their coattails.
5. DCE is a first grader, not the Messiah. He needs to be in a strong team around him. With him hogging the cap there's little cap room to build a strong team, and so things got pushed, leading to the cap scandal.
6. During the salary cap scandal DCE never once offered to reduce his salary for the good of the club or the team, while it's clear he's comparatively well overpaid, in a club that can't afford him and is burnt trying to make him look good.
7. Ex-players and commentators are now speaking truths about DCE, and yes while he's down. But where there's smoke..
8. We have DCE for years to come.

When we have a near decade of near spoon worthy seasons there will only be one 'winner' : Captain Lapdance aka The Ten Million Dollar Man.

These players that left because the ckub had to accomodate DCE - I assume we are talking about are Gift and Twatmough?

In hindsight, they were very good calls by the club (injury and performance wise).

Not for one second disparaging the contribution of Gift to Manly. He was a champion. (Twatmough can get f*cked)

As for all that money players gave up.......well its very well documented how Dollar Des is the king of a backended deal, so how much did players really forego?
