Yep all the speculation seems 2 be coming from the club and media not DCE no doubt he is gone and it's time for us 2 start looking at other options. Hope I'm wrong but I've seen nothing 2 fuel this club and media lead speculation.
 
He has a manager that he pays big money. To believe that Daly would be constantly calling the titbags is pure fantasy. Get ready to be usurped GC

Yep just saw that to. Time to put this long winded directionless thread to bed and start a new one and maybe call it who gunna take DCE’s place.
 
I'm leaning towards him pissing off as well. I have a feeling we have already signed his replacement. The positive for mine is everyone thought Reynolds at Souths was a nothing, and he turned out great with awesome forwards around him.

DCE is gone. He's happy at the moment, because everything thinks he's staying and "loves" him. I hope his replacement is Carney.

Manly's base offer is larger than the GC one. Plus Manly have set a deadline for end of next round to move on other Players by rd 13.

Remember when DCE got his first run. Everyone was worried cause orford and DOG kinson left. We will find a quality replacment, maybe not straight away but it will come.

NRL can do what they want they run the salary cap and the tpa's if they fall over the nrl will top them up. But I'm glad we have set a time so we can get on with other recruiting it cannot drag on to round 13. If our base offer is bigger it's a concern we can't get a decent tpa to top up the offer.

Tpa's are used by clubs 2 rort the cap and we will find ourselves left behind in the future without more contacts.

What I don't get is if DCE phoned the Titans to say he is still coming............
- why don't the Titans announce DCE phoned?
- maybe because if true it might be confidential
- so if it's confidential then why is Dobbins privy to the conversation?
- maybe it's not confidential
- then why hasn't DCE said he called?

I think DCE will be worried about looking like a fool if he goes against his agreement. He seems to be quite a well grounded and sincere type of person so this would rub against the grain.

Tpas at the GC include getting big $$ for washing cars at frizelle's dealership. They have form for rorting, eg Prince's house, not paying tradies etc.
 
Money talks, so he would want his monies guaranteed. Chez is pissed off with the Media and we know his opinion of So Called Fans.@:cool:

I don't see the NRL stepping in to prop up defunct TPAs. 15 Clubs would sue them for breaking their Charter.😎

At least he only to 2 years 🙂

* If Manly have set a deadline for the end of next round, then he isn't "in the bag"
* I don't think that DCE responds favorably to deadines (past experience)

15 clubs wouldn't know.
 
I kind of like that it's before round 13 and we can still speculate that DCE might stay with us.
After that I'm ready to move on, get on with this year and start accepting whoever is to come in as our new half.
Right now I'm still hoping for Cherry to remain an Eagle and while I can I will.
 
I remember when Bozo left us as a player and went to the dark side at the Roosters. We thought we were doomed but over time all was well.
