To be fair, he was also smiling at the comment that the right decision is signing with manly. It was a funny moment cause 2v is not going to say the right decision is to leave..

I'm not getting my hopes up, I'm still saying 80/20 he will go.

Although I think the Myles deal may help, as would Lussick if he came ( purely conjecture of course that this would make a difference but enough is being said to suggest it might be close).

I just don't want that feeling I had when Erin Molan said he was back flipping and I nearly did cartwheels of joy, only to discover it was journo bulldust.

I'll be in western QLD fishing beside the Barcoo or the Thompson , but will have my Satelite TV, so I look forward to watching the Manly v Brisbane game as apparently he has until kick off at 7.45pm that might to back flip, and they may well leave it to 730pm to send a fax to the Titans saying " sorry guys deal is off".

Until then it's all just speculation.

All I've seen is Nate saying he wouldn't put pressure on him to sign. Hopefully they lay off him because you don't want him feeling like he's being pressured to do something like that while still under contract to the club he's trying to get him to reneg on. Bad look all round...

Good point, I wonder if they actually thought about that , because had we signed him it's doubtful we'd be going hard at Cherry, but you can be sure they are busting their proverbial boilers at present stitching up TPA's to get the deal done.

This is a good point. I imagine Myles is privy to more than we know about the situation. He has probably had a chat with DCE, but it would be a poor look if he were to try get DCE to reneg.

Correct. We were up in arms when that whole thing came out about DCE apparently recruiting for the Tits which is effectively what Nate would be doing for us.

I'd like to think Manly as a club is above that kind of behavior.We should be able to sign players based of what we offer ($), where we are based (God's country) and our record of success (Decade of Dominance).

It comes down 2 money and us upping our offer and nothing wrong with that but spare me the Myles stuff Daly has survived and prospered in his career without Myles and Lussick holding his hand.

The bottom line is we've recruited excellently over the years with big names (Lyon, Kite, etc) and have had good fortune in our recruitment of other youngsters at the time (Wolf, Hoppa, both from Parra juniors I believe). We will never always be the ones winning in this department, sometimes the tables get turned.

The thing that concerns me a wee bit is: if DCE does re-sign because we bring in Myles and Lussick, wouldn't that create another little power base of mates like the one that just wreaked such havoc on us?

Paul Khunt also said that there are massive issues between the Titans and Orr brothers as the Titans are trying to reduce their influence at the club where they have 30 players under management. he Titans have also taken away the Orr brothers private box which was arranged by Searle.

The Orr's could backflip DCE just to piss of the Titans and show them they still run the show.
