Tangles gone ( effective immediately)

It would appear that the club has offloaded players to free up cash, I'm hearing we have cut around $350K (so other than Tangles we have let some others go?) plus we have access to another $93K from NRL (Walker). So we have say $450K. Who's around that is worth $420-$430K - need to keep $20K for payments to players brought up to NRL from outside top 30.

The 93k from Walker's debacle can only be used on a "like for like" player apparently, so can't be used on a forward, so that leaves 350k to spend on a forward. I suspect Des is looking for a back anyways, but I could be wrong.

If we sign someone then our top 30 will be full and there is no need to save the "$20K for payments to players brought up to NRL from outside top 30".

Devel contract players are freely available to play FG after june 30 under the new rule as well.

Hope it is not a back, I think the squad is back heavy atm

Turbo
Elliott
Taufua
Suli
Walker
Parker
Garrick
Hoppa
Funa
Smith
Kioa

DCE
Croker
Cust
Elgey
Hodko

Api
Fainu

Taupau
AFB
Toff
Perrett
Paseka
Boyle
Jake
Sirro
Thompson
Waddell
Jetski

That is 29 excluding Tangles. 11 of those covering the back 5 positions then 10 players covering 8 forward positions (prop, backrow, 8 bench forwards)......a few forward injuries and we would be extremely short

Taufua, suli, Parker, funa, walker, hodko are all off contact, so if u can get the player you want this year but can't the next, it would make sense bringing in a back. That's my thinking behind it anyway

Quite a few people enjoyed it for what it was. Sorry.
He’s a formidable fella

Desus knows which players we need to progress in our premiership mission .

When players are signed by the ESL and not the NRL says something

Hate how we bag the players as soon as they leave or sign elsewhere. Tanginoa was great. Up tempo.

Unfortunately tainted by injury.

But he had the goods and traits to be amazing. And was still so young. We've just lost Sipley for the season, and we release Tanginoa.

I don't get it. Not the greatest decision. Especially if Boyle (who got VERY limited time against The Sharks, which says a lot from Des) is now the next cab off the rank. Ability wise, The Magic Pudding is possibly the worst I've seen in a Manly jersey. Let's hope he improves like all you say.

I did not see anything great from Tangi this season . From what I saw he was the least performing forward

He did not make any impact on our road to success this season at all and wont be missed .

As for the Magic pudding ....

Like all good puddings he will rise in good time
