All I know is I want Jake to have an absolute blinder, our boys to lift for him, and make "Blind Freddy" realize the error of his ways. I mean, what is it with selections? They talk about loyalty (when you win a series), but then claim current form as the benchmark?

NSW have never been loyal mate. That’s the difference between the two sides. Never in a million years would Qld drop a player like Jake.

Qld have tall wingers so he drops JAC and brings in his Roosters mate Tupou.
JAC although playing in a ****ty team is still good enough to rise to the occasion of Origin.

All the people complaining about Jake being dropped would be the same people that complained in the 2010’s when the NSW team wasn’t picked on form

Pains me to say but as a ball playing lock/workhorse, Jake is well and truly behind Yeo and Murray and as a meter eating/line bending prop he is well behind Haas, Paulo and RCG. Jake does a huge job for Manly but it's a job that doesn't suit NSW any more. I'm stoked we get to have him over the origin period.

Because Mal shows a bit of loyalty. If nsw lose Wednesday and their defence in the middle is rubbish you can bet your bottom dollar Jake will be back game 2.

Throwing this out there. Don't know why Garrick isn't considered for SOO. I think after watching last night (and before), he's actually gone from a fill-in fullback to an ACTUAL fullback option for a team.

He'd be great on the wing for The Blues. Could kick goals. The occassions don't seem to affect him. He's really consistent.

Anyways, just my thoughts. I'd have him in there over Blind Freddie's buddy Tupou. Did Tupou score the world record of points last season ? Surely that accounts for something.

Lastly, Jake was outstanding last night. Put that in your pipe and smoke it Blind Freddy. If NSW are carved up through the middles, and they tangibly miss Jake's defensive glue, that's all on the coach and selectors. They've gone for offense, but The Blues never struggle to score. We struggle to prevent points, just saying.

100 percent agree. Jake is origin every day of the week. Ludicrous not to select him in the squad.
Garrick is also a very good player. Must be close
