Oh and the appeal goes to an independent panel chaired by Ian Cullinan QC who was previously a Justice of the High Court, so most definitely any appeal would be mounted on points of law.

Penns legal people would have known all of this from the outset and even had some inklings as to the points of appeal and how it would be handled.

Then again, I hold little faith in the High Court of Australia or the legal profession in general so...................

Numerous reports we have 800k left in our cap

Numerous reports Thommo cost 500k and his contract has not been registered yet.
That leaves 300k

Cap penalty 330k

Total -30k


It's all going on what several reports that have corroborated the same figures.
I imagine Greenturd may have reduced our cap over 2 years because we don't have 660k left this year.
No other team has had a cap reduction carry over to the following year even when their crimes have been much worse than what we are accused of.

Do you honestly think all the roosters TPAs are at arms length? Manly are disputing the discrepancies as a matter of interpretation.

Apparently they're cheating when Manly do them. For every other club in the NRL, they're a perfectly legitimate means of complying with the salary cap.
