Notice how the surface is never criticised by any commentators. Amazing considering the endless criticism we got about the old surface at Brooky.

The surface looks nice, like a new pool table down at the pub. The problem is it chops up like a cow paddock as soon as anyone runs over it. At a rough guess I would say at least half the players out there last night slipped over because of the surface and not because they had short sprigs on their boots.

But because its a nice shiny "stadium"....nothing gets said. Yet if someone slips over at Brookie.....

The thing that sucks the most is that quite honestly the Storm are the best team in the comp bar none. I know Penrith are the reigning premiers and all that blah blah blah, but the reality is that Melbourne should have won it last year, they just didn't. They cruised along in 3rd gear today and still won running away from St Merge, literally.
