I saw a player rating that gave Moses 8/10 and another article with the headline 'Holy Moses...half stars in Origin decider'. I didn't realise he was playing until he beat a couple of tired defenders when the game was already over.

Another rating gave DCE 5/10 because he lacked creativity. I wonder if this idiot watched how much defence the entire QLD team had to do. I think that might account for their lack of spark with the ball. How do these morons get jobs commenting on a game they don't understand?

DCE was at worst a 7 probably 8.5 in my books and I am not a fan.

A major overreaction, players from 40 years ago would be laughing their heads off at this, these bastards understand nothing about passion and pride, we need genuine rugby league officials with an understanding of the very concept of origin, V'Landys can go back to his greyhounds and Abdo well he never really fitted the game, he doesn't seem to have any understanding of it, he wouldn't be missed

Ive been told the experts are always right which is rubbish but next year someone will pull out this stat as gospel . Not on here if DCE got a 5 though

I dont think Moses was an 8 but if dce had scored a solo try to win the game he would have got a 12 on here . Apparently flashy things impress some people.

It was one of those games where nearly everyone played pretty well and standouts were few.

But the forwards were key and TBH the NSW attitude was calm, strong and together. I thought it rattled the crimson bitches and was the key difference. Mcguire did a great job. The blues were steely and the bench awesome

I sometimes wonder if yeo should be in the mix with jakey and cam murray but his efforts late had leader written all over them.

The unsung always deserve credit but get none .

I think dce deserves a lower score. He pushed passes that put people into touch. His short drop outs were horrible. In a game where possession was key he didnt control his bits that well and went missing late. Not sure moses earns an 8 as was quiet early as you say , had a few decents defensive moments but lui was the man

Even his early ankle tap only made up for his grabby grabby defence . Lucky he got there or he might have got a 4

What did dearden get ?
He went better than mosses IMO but in a losing side. Very tooveyesque

DCE played behind a far inferior pack. The scoreline flattered QLD and credit where its due their relentless goal line defence/scrambling was amazing at times. However it told late in the game through fatigue. While not DCE's best game he was constantly targeted in defence. Johns even said something along the lines of "running at DCE is not working they need to go wider and harder at Gagai and Cobbo". DCE looked gassed after 20 - and that is rare.

Not sure about the comments of DCE being "grubby and catty". Crichton (A) and Luia were constantly in his face and there was push and shove after every play the ball which eventually led tot eh skirmish over the sideline.. I thought DCE actually stood up and refused to back down to the niggle. He actually led by example.

Anyway hopefully that is it for DCE and he can focus 100% for the Mighty Sea Eagles over the next 2 years. Deardon looks a ready made replacement.

DCE has a bit of adam gilchrist in his attitude toward the game and i say that respectfully. He doesnt really get into the physical intimidation that comes at NRL level. He is a pure footy player

He looked out of place in those exchanges a little as its clearly not his go but he didnt back down. He was emotionally all in thats for sure
