Well that was very nice.
I watched it with the (qler) daughter.
I was actually scared to breathe in the last 10 minutes.
I had tried to give her a bit of hope at 14-4, but she told me where to go!( she must get that from her mother 😉 ).

My question is how much percentage of the 30k a game does Zac Lomax have to give Flanno for turning him into the best winger, and more importantly, cutting the stupid shiit out of his game. Kicking that goal from near the sideline was huge in the context of the game. But the play of the night for him was waiting for Walsh to get off the ground to run again and THEN Lomax bundled him into touch. The old Lomax would’ve come straight in with a swinging arm to the chops. And who knew the reformed clown could catch like he’d been playing AFL all his childhood!?

Watch Flanno for his last trick to get Lomax to backflip on the Eels.

Tonight's game I rank as the 3rd best game of rugby league I have ever seen.

2nd best is the 2nd Ashes test of 1990 at Old Trafford.

And funnily enough, the best game I've seen was actually one we lost. The 2013 Semi-Final that we lost 0–4 to the Chooks. I know we lost, but as a game it was the best I've seen played.

BTW ... haven't forgotten 40–0. That one holds a place those 3 will never reach.

Well chosen, @HoldenV8 . I'd have room for those at the top of my list as well. One other I'd add was a game between Norths and St George in the early '90s that was very low scoring but was end to end action. (Might have been a tryless game too but can't be dead-sure of that...)

Just quietly, did anyone else see Matty King up and absolutely throwing in the hip thrusts when Best scored. I was beginning to think they just seated a mannequin of him next to Robbo for the chooks games’. Great to see.

If he gave QLD 8 kickable penalties they may have just had a chance, tougher game at 13 on 13

Took a bit as I was reading through this thread.

@davohan123 gave me the most entertainment. From nsw being totally rubbish in all aspects through to the cheering and pics. Thanks for that! lol

Anyone who thinks bozo will be gracious in defeat/limit useless pics, has never played chess with a pigeon.

I was interested but not surprised to hear dce's bleating after the match, going on about the niggle, etc.
The first half he played like and absolute CAT. Every tackle had a push after the play the ball, forearm on the face, even fingers raked across the face - it was he channeled Mitch moses (or slater/smith/cronk). If the rules were 'fair dinkum' he'd been sent for 10.
Screaming at the ref that something wasn't acceptable in park footy just unlocked his gold award of whiny-ness.

Anyway, he's back at Manly this w/end so goooo Daly!

Good game to watch. Massive first half.

PS: V'landy looked like someone stole his lunch money up there on the stage.

To be fair his lunch money is probably a few thousand dollars of someone else's money, but still - if you're going to be a pouty paul about life, then FO and let others be up there.

I was cheering Chez ( I go for NSW) when he grabbed the little Gangster Lui by the hair and took him to the ground apart from Blues winning that was the highlight of the game for me

Yeah, the booing wasn't warranted when DCE got up on the podium. The Qld crowd are quick to turn on DCE, they haven't forgotten the DCE backflip all those years ago and his early Origin years when the Melb 3 rulled the Qld side.
