Manly vs Brisbane pre-game Team Lists (and discussion)

NRL FOX
WAYNE Bennett is planning a cunning centre switch designed to breathe life into embattled star Jack Bird.

Bird and opposite centre James Roberts switched sides during training drills during the week, and Bennett confirmed the switcheroo will take effect against Manly at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday.

Bird - who came to the Broncos on big money - won a premiership at right centre with the Sharks in 2016.

Roberts has played his entire Brisbane career at right centre but will be shifted to the left to accommodate Bird on Saturday night.

I I think that if Manly can take the same mind set and improved form and better ball control from last week against the Broncos tonight , should be a real good chance of a break through win . Much will again depend on the Manly pack being able to exert at least some authority and there is sufficient back line attacking ability in the Sea Eagles to then trouble the Bronco"s defence . In last season "s encounter , Manly started very well and really dominated until around Tom T "s very unfortunate injury just after half time then the whole momentum of the game then seemed to swing against Manly . Hopefully it will be a different scenario and better outcome for Manly tonight with a long awaited win . The team is still good enough to do it and i just hope that they can finally deliver .

We will get pumped unfortunately.
The donkeys are not playing like thoroughbreds they are playing like mules so we are in there with a chance .

It’s real 50/50 this one.

I’d picked the Donkeys in the tipping but something says to me that it’s about time for a win.

Manly in a close one!
