How do you know that Haas had not directed Smith to send late night emails and agitate the broncs? For all we know Smith may have advised his client against it. If this has come from the Manager tho I agree.
As far as I’m concerned,a manager is an extension of the player.Whilst these managers are an issue for the game,it all comes back to the player

Q: Can you believe that the SMH is yet to publish a report of last night’s game?

A: Yes I can.

Their league reporters are probably down at the Blues’ hotel in Coogee, too busy hosing Adolf’s troops.
Agree, and their paltry coverage of league in this Saturday’s paper also needs a mention. There was no preview of this weekend’s games which feature popular Sydney teams manly and easts, just a nothing article on Brisbane’s haas, and some origin drivel, likely written midweek.Their league journos are asleep at the wheel. Other weeks they pay attention to Melbourne, at the expense of the 9 Sydney clubs.

And especially with sone of how the egos are these days. Sone of these players would be a nightmare to manage I reckon.

I know it's harsh - but we were steered around the park in a much more direct and confident manner don't you think? I thought our backrowers got the ball faster (BOTH Davey and Olakau'atu). Meant we got a roll on much more efficiently, and that's mostly been our problem.

We've seen the performance mate, and I really don't think it's something we can ignore. We seemed a MUCH more efficient, and well oiled machine, with much, MUCH less breakdowns in play and momentum.

Just my opinion.
100% we were steered around better.

DCE is a really good player but we all know his negatives include running sideways (which cramps the right edge) and his attacking kicking is mediocre (we are really poor in getting repeat sets from goal line drop outs).

Yes the Warriors were bad, but not withstanding that Manly looked significantly better in certain areas which I don't think had anything to do with who we were playing.

Cleary is an outlier.

Schuster does need to work on his decision making but we dont want to beat the flair out of him, we dont need him to be a Chad Townsend
Agreed. Cleary will go down as one of the all time greats.

If we are even comparing The Schu to Cleary, then he must be doing something right.

I know the Warriors were terrible but I loved watching us play without Cherry-Evans. Haumole and Koula had probably their best games of the year with Foran inside them and Schuster looked outstanding - yes he had a few errors, but he’s only 21 and was playing in the halves for only the 3rd or 4th time in the NRL. Not many players going around could do the stuff he can do.

Says a lot about Queensland’s origin chances when their captain and halfback’s team looks better and has more direction when he’s not playing for them. Up the Blues!

I honestly believe it’s not fair to say that.

DCE behind that forward dominance last night “ may” have killed it.

So many in here blame him for our losses , forgetting that our custard forwards lost the game on their own right in the first 20 minutes ( the games we lost ).

Last night Sipley and Oshay Olay absolutely demoralised the Warriors in the first 15 minutes , they were running at will almost.

Let’s have this conversation when ( if) Foran and Schuster are up against the Panthers and we get rolled in the first 15 like the Warriors did.

By the way I’m not being a DCE apologist just looking at it without rose coloured glasses.

Saab sprinting down the field after the intercept proved a few numbnut clowns wrong tonight.
What a classic try.
That is why Saab is in the team. Unmatched speed.

Bloke continues to prove the uneducated League wooden clown wrong.
On the previous set of 6 warriors tried the same play and Saab got a finger to it. He was wise to it the second time :0)

I had a good view from the Jane Try the bloke just glides across the turf and only in second gear.

What a Try !

Once Saab got the ball last night

It was Goodbye Charlie and Good night Irene

He left them all for dead sprinting away in only second gear

Smiling at the Bob Fulton stand from ear to ear

There is absolutely No Saabstitute for Speed
Speed thrills , Speed Kills and the faster you go the bigger the slower mediocre mess you leave behind !

I dont buy it because Forans edge has been better week in week out for a long time, then as soon as hes on DCEs edge, Olakauatu gets the ball earlier, Koula gets the ball in space, theres less spearing out of the defensive line...the whole edge just works.

Yeah Warriors are bad but Foran commits defenders with his runs, and he also doesnt crab around and die with the ball because he tries to do it all himself first.

Winning NRL games is now like Mike Tyson at his prime, especially Panfas and Storm who will belt you up inside the first or second round. Game over. The only way any game is ever a contest is if the side copping all of the early hits somehow comes through it. Manly will have to be Buster Douglas.

Reminds me of Usain Bolt, how it almost seems effortless.
Yes it’s great to see, his speed is best asset there’s no argument, his also nice and safe under the ball, however he has a lot to work on, his defensive reads and defensive play is nerve racking, the warriors messed it up last night, but could of scored any number of tries down our left side, pretty sure you can bet the Tig’s will aim plenty at him.
His return carries and hit ups are the other thing, to me it appears like he just surrenders, allows the opposition to pick him up and walk him backwards, at least keep those massive legs pumping, I’m pretty sure he went limp twice last night and was just carried backwards, I’m not bagging the guy, I want him in our side, just want to see him work on those couple of areas of his game as well as maybe looking for some more work.

Thanks again @Jethro for all the post game links! Love watching this
Thank you @Jethro and thank you @SeaEagleRock8

Highlights of that Super Sonic Saab Try

Sea eagle backs are meant to fly and that he did

You cannot tackle and stop a flying Sea eagle you cannot catch
There is No Saabstitute for SPEED !

Untouched ,Unmatched , Unequalled , and Unbeaten all the way to try line
