I loved watching the defence and effort of Harper today. This guy really wants it. Love it.

People didn’t want the younger guys coming in but four new players in Saab, Schuster, Harper and Guac and they have shown they belong. Saab has issues he must work on, but his speed gives us certain tries that other wingers couldn’t convert. Schuster is so classy in attack but I knew that; however, his defence has been great. Gauc with no match fitness was still really hard to stop. Great to see.

Injuries forced three of these changes but it showed they should have been there from the get go.

Great win.

And it should be remembered that Guac is realistically on borrowed time because he is likely to be the one back at Blacktown when Siro returns.

Settle down, we all get things wrong now and then. Manly just won by 36 points to nil, and we have a five time grand final coach at the helm. Enjoy! My grin is broad, I hope yours is too.

Hey - you went at me for some reason. But yes, my grin is broad and as much as the tries were great, the defence was even better. Although, I think now more than ever being effective in attack has a real influence on your defence. Tom helps on both ends.

That's what I can't figure out. WTF can't Walker run those same lines - he would stand up in the line flat footed and just distribute. It's like the sweep play just got put on ice rounds 1-5. Lack of a quality hooker didn't hurt us too badly today

Because Walker is not Tommy. He does not strike fear in opposing defensive lines. At the start of the coverage Big Mal was worried with Tom playing, and he’s a fair judge. Tom is top 3 fb, prob right behind Teddy imo.
