Injuries are never nice but at least they’ve forced Dessie’s hand and we now have Schuster and Haumole getting solid game time.
Haumole can be our Kikau.

Yeah I would have liked Guaca to get a bit more game time but I guess it was his first game back so probably Des knows better than me.

Us and Broncs have shown u can nullify these big guys. Tge biggest factor was us completing sets. We do that and tackle well, with Tom we are a chance most weeks.

That’s why we have Foran too. He was purchased to do what he did today. When you play off the back of go forward, you look much better. Then having Tom out the back helps too! The thing with Tom T is not only his physical attributes but he positions himself and times his run so much better than Walker. It’s funny how it’s the identical shape/play we run every game in the first 5 weeks, but when you put another player in the works, the play comes up trumps.

That's what I can't figure out. WTF can't Walker run those same lines - he would stand up in the line flat footed and just distribute. It's like the sweep play just got put on ice rounds 1-5. Lack of a quality hooker didn't hurt us too badly today 🙂

Keppie was excellent in defence so I think it was a good move from Des! Haumole was great when he came on but he is certainly not match fit and to ask him to play long minutes off limited preparation, is a tough ask.

It’s like a finger print...every player is different and Tom just knows where to be...Walker doesn’t read the game like Tom.
We saw some improvement from Croker last week and he went one better today. I still think his service (especially when it started raining) was a bit slow at times but thankfully the forwards were winning the ruck which lessened the necessity for sharp service. He is doing a great job in defence though.

He brings aggression to the pack. Something we've been lacking. Honestly cannot see where Sirro would fit back in if we can go injury free with these forwards.

And those tap on's and no look passes from Shoe that I was criticising a couple of weeks ago because they weren't coming off? Today having a fullback who knows when to join the line showed that they can actually work very well with the right players.
