Agree with the assertion that it’ll be a different story when the opposition get a few things to go their way. In saying that, a lot of what happened today was because we never let the Titans in it. We defended with energy and stopped their quick play-the-balls which took Fifita and Brimson out of the game. The test on our defence is how it performs in an up tempo game when things are not going our way, we fatigue way too easily and lose defensive composure with any uptempo moments and can easily get stretched.
Keppie is getting his spacing wrong defensively and tends to switch off on the inside too often leaving too big of a gap.
And so say all of usHappy Birthday 🙂
That was a great moment although for some reason Holbrook didn't seem to see the funny sideYer and how about the lady in front of Holbrook‘s box holder her kid up in his manly colours in his face, gold.
Agreed. Last week Warriors were bad all by themselves and we were lucky enough to capitalise. This week we gave the Titans nothing and frustrated them into taking silly risks and making silly errors. Big difference.Agree with the assertion that it’ll be a different story when the opposition get a few things to go their way. And we mustn't forget that had it not been for injuries we would still be watching the same duds that helped us to our worst win loss record ever, I doubt Hasler would have rung in the changes had those injuries not occurred, I'm keen to see if he's going to revert back to his favourites once they're over their injuries or if he'll show faith in the boys that have turned it aroundI always said Des was a smart cookie. But as I always say - it isn’t youth for youth’s sake - it’s the right youth.
Yes it will be interesting. I think Des will stick with a winning team though. Only injuries will get Siro and Suli back in.And we mustn't forget that had it not been for injuries we would still be watching the same duds that helped us to our worst win loss record ever, I doubt Hasler would have rung in the changes had those injuries not occurred, I'm keen to see if he's going to revert back to his favourites once they're over their injuries or if he'll show faith in the boys that have turned it around
You could see that Brimson knew it was useless going after himMan he is fast... just makes everyone look like they are running in slow motion. Big strides long legs.. just need to get the kicks to him right and he can become a real weapon
As much as I prefer having the likes of Harper Guacamole and Schuster in the team, Jetski Siro Walker and Suli all would've looked a lot better in a team effort like today. And we mustn't forget that had it not been for injuries we would still be watching the same duds that helped us to our worst win loss record ever, I doubt Hasler would have rung in the changes had those injuries not occurred, I'm keen to see if he's going to revert back to his favourites once they're over their injuries or if he'll show faith in the boys that have turned it around
Looking good the boysView attachment 17771Makes my heart sing!
We may not of had that effort with them in. Suli and JetSki aren’t up to it, and Siro isn’t creative like Schuster. We don’t win 36-0 with those players all in.As much as I prefer having the likes of Harper Guacamole and Schuster in the team, Jetski Siro Walker and Suli all would've looked a lot better in a team effort like today.
I wish I shared your confidence. I think Des will rissole Guaca for Sirro without any hesitation once he is fit to play. Harper will only get a few games. He'll probably do the same with Sipley as well. Its so frustrating and incomprehensible.
Same was said of Croker Parker Garrick Saab and Foz and you saw the difference in them today. We may not of had that effort with them in. Suli and JetSki aren’t up to it, and Siro isn’t creative like Schuster. We don’t win 36-0 with those players all in.
I know that you have said that you are not questioning my figures but if you think that they seemed low, FOX Sports Game Stats only has a game total of Manly 3, Titans 6.The Referee certainly was on a mission to give the Titans a leg up by giving a hell of a lot of Set Restarts and especially in that second half.
Not questioning your figures at all, but sheeeeesh it felt like they got more than five in that second half...
There is a tipping point. You can only carry so many average players at once. I still don’t rate Garrick. His goal kicking was excellent and he was good fielding kicks, but he bombed two tries that an NRL winger should have scored.Same was said of Croker Parker Garrick Saab and Foz and you saw the difference in them today.
hmm I really don’t think any of them would have. I think Harper has earned his spot, Gauc was powerful off the bench and hard to contain, Schuster is a solid defender and has some great runs in him as well as some good passing exchanges. As much as I prefer having the likes of Harper Guacamole and Schuster in the team, Jetski Siro Walker and Suli all would've looked a lot better in a team effort like today.
Someone on here owns a moonshine place out towards Canberra from memory, not you is it?
Siro to go to Blacktown. He is a beast. Always a handful. When Siro is fit, I would not put him back in the side over Shuster (making the back row his own) or Quac. No way
