[Resurrected] Lachlan Croker (a smokey or 1st choice)

All the noise in the media suggests Croker (for now at least) will be first cab of the rank. Good luck kid, hope you deliver on your undoubted potential and kill it.

I agree that he will get first shot. Just something about the interviews with Baz where he keeps talking about Croker and then backs up a bit and says Hastings is also going well. Almost sounds like he gets carried away and then remembers he has other players in contention for the spot.

Either way there is a big opportunity there for someone and they would probably be hoping that the investigation doesn’t allow us to sign another player so that they get some luck and get a good crack.

Croker has 2 trial games to make this happen . How can we select an unknown without seeing him play. Common sense will prevail

and which common sense will that be feathered fiend?
I think picking a young 5/8 who seems to be so far out playing his rivals is not an un-common sense move

Let's hope this turns out well for the kid, I just hate " media hype", it so often turns to ****.

I too would love to see one of the kids get first crack but I think I'd be happier if we had an established half playing the Blake Green role.

It could either turn out as one of the great decisions of all time or equally so one of the great disasters.

I wish them both well, and hope it works out for at least one of them.

I like the way Penrith have handled Cleary, kept him out of the media and rep teams.

I was saying you don't pick players on training form you pick them on match form and we have not seen a trial game yet . That is what I was trying to say . Sorry if I confused you 🙂

I hope I'm wrong but I don't have high hopes for Croker. Admittedly I've never seen him play, you have to wonder why raiders staff would let him go while they are pretty skinny on half options.
Every Raiders fan ive spoken to has said he's not 1st grade standard.
Let's hope he's a late bloomer like Blake Green.

The fact with Young up and coming stars is not all will shine at NRL level .
Unless they take the NRL stage and show us what they can do we will never really know . Did Ricky the raider do the right thing by not resigning him ?
NRL game time will tell .
