The NRL will consider registering Jarryd Hayne for the rest of the season if Parramatta officials cease their bitter feud with the governing body over the salary cap saga and move to rebuild the club.

Once Foran left this was always on the cards, and even more so now that the Fiji 7's thing is done & dusted.

This is supposed to be a professional sport with fkin rules.....if this goes through then the sport may as well change the name of the comp to Fantasy League.....itll become just a marketing tool for ch9 ratings and no longer be considered a serious sporting competition.

The article says that the june 30 deadline is only for nrl registered players...as Hayne isn't one it doesn't apply.

But agree with others sentiment on here about the amazing levels the nrl are going to help out parra. Mind blowing.

Surely Hayne will accompany the Fiji RU to the Olympics in August.

Would be truly flabbegasting if Greenturd allowed a player who walked out on a contract to resign, and after the 30 June deadline, and for a Club that has broken the Cap paying said player some cash payments 😡

Cheers moondog, I guess you're right about them being worried over rival codes..but it's so shortsighted, they're losing so many other fans of the game because of the favouritism towards parra. So yeah you are absolutely right about Greenberg and Co being amateur!

Hayne walked out on his club when they were struggling. He failed at NFL. He failed at rugby union.NRL think by bringing him back the diabolical events at Parramatta will fade in the background.Absolute joke -AFL & Soccer bosses must be laughing at the headlines each week. I have been a league supporter for 45+ years and can never remember a season like this -the actual footy has taken backseat to the ongoing dramas.
