Manila won't know what's hit them when me and my new Manly mates finish tonight. That's the spirit we have been waiting for and the year can't be all bad beating the filthy scum twice. Horo and Symonds are good first graders, just need more self belief.Horo was so tough tonight, back to his form 2 years ago.

Stewart and Tafua in late must have been a great lift and they performed accordingly.Very happy to have tipped wrong this week.Add mateo and Lyon and our spoon avoidance is well under way with effort like that.
Soooo important to back it up next start now.

I tipped us too, I had a feeling, wish I'd backed it with a punt

When Tom T comes back we have a good problem. Definitely need Jorge for his power runs, especially out of our own end. Would be good to have another winger that isn't afraid of a high ball. Hiku will spend most of the year in the centres as I think Matai and Killer will have their share of injuries.

Hi all, long time reader, first time poster. Thought our boys stood up in defence tonight, but the wrestle seems to be a problem. We seem to have a lot of trouble getting the opposition onto there back and there fore a lot of penalties against us. Do we have a wrestling coach?, like other teams. I thought out boys put there hand up tonight. Great effort and great win. Hopefully that's broken the ducks back and final bound we are.

Just this week, Vossy's segment on the Matty John's show (finally remembered)

He highlighted that in 1987 Manly lost their first 3 games, then went on to a 12 game winning streak and also won the GF that year - from his lips to Gods Ear

I honestly didn't think we'd win.

Mind you, the late inclusions of Snake, Jorge and Foran weren't going to hurt.

But the most important thing was the intensity. Finally, we looked interested. And what a difference it made.

Never been happier to be wrong.
