'ex' Barrett's Bulldogs

Yes, a great ball runner at centre & big kicker at five eighth.

I am not sure about his organizational or playmaking skills.
Exactly, he looked totally bereft of ideas in the 2nd half against us, kicking game, he knows how to boot it high, but that's the extent of his game.

Seems so at present.

However, he has only just turned 22 and has limited NRL experience in the halves. It is probably unfair to expect too much of him playing behind a beaten pack & without a good halves partner.

I agree and reckon Burton is legit. Can play most positions in the backline and this is his first real go in the halves for any length of time and he has Jake Averillo or Brandon Wakeham as a halves partner and Trent Barrett as coach. What hope has any young bloke got with that.

While Luke Brooks is no world beater, he's streets ahead of anything the Dogs currently have. And he wouldn't need much convincing to leave the Tigpies.

No club is going anywhere with a sub-par 7 as Souths are finding out pretty quickly. Actually, Brisbane seem to be going nowhere with a good one, but that's another story.

T Baz is being hung, drawn and quartered over at the Kennel. Makes for quite funny reading actually. A tough month of games ahead isn't go to help either. I see a few more floggings in his future.

Gus clearly has a template

Bring in a coach to help the rebuild (Griffin at the panthers) that you can then cut when you want to bring in the real coach

Baz is clearly there to get them through the next year or so. Their team will be better next year with their players coming (maybe bottom of 8 / 10) and some stability there as well - which means it is attractive to an up and coming coach

Gould will be doing video work on the opposition all this year and send a play sheet to twent for each game..
If this keeps going, you can’t imagine that Trent is safe in his current role.

On a positive note, he will retire from first grade coaching as arguably the most handsome coach on the game’s history. His only rival might be the late Greg Pierce at Cronulla.

I think that you are correct:
