Flanagan isn't complaining, I'm sure he is delighted to be playing.
But surely a coaching staff should be working to get the best out of their players and team.
The issue I see is mismanagement, Barrett wants him out, he removed him from training with the top squad mid to late last year and he hasn't spent a minute training with them since (till this week).
Barrett is panicking and not showing a cohesive strategy or confidence in his own beliefs.
If he thought Flanagan was an option start the process of re-intergrating him to the top team, or name him in the reserves and spring him into the team late so there isnt the media furore.
Basically I dont think Barrett has provided optimal conditions for his team or fr Flanagan to perform.
That said hope the kid plays well
