Match Stats

To be fair I don't think their #6 was sighted at all during the game.

Likewise Parra fans are saying plenty about Waqa Blake given that all our points were scored down on the Eels' right edge.

Fair point that they played behind a well beaten pack yesterday, but the truth is Moses and his son of the coach halves partner were the invisible men for the Worms yesterday. I barely remember seeing Arthur at all (I think we saw his old man more when they showed him in the coaches box), and Moses was just almost the same.

It's funny, I don't understand the frustration with that 'usual poster'. I think he genuinely tries to be 'constructive'.

What truly gets me is another 'usual poster' who only posts to put scorn on the club and team. When we are losing, there they are. When we are winning....crickets. One of their last posts was at the begginning of the Broncos game where they said something like, "we are shot. Broncos will put 50 on us". They haven't been sighted since!

I don't mind pessimists, but come on. If you are going to put sht on everyone and everything when times are bad, acknowledge when things are good. Even grit your teeth when giving praise like the crew that don't think much of DCE, but don't ghost the site because you can't maintain your prejudiced narrative...

Rant over.

I only got to watch bits and pieces yesterday - will watch the full replay later in the week when I have time. But @madmax, I now know what you mean about how much the Worms whinge. I hadn't watched their games this year (for whatever reason), and couldn't believe the petulance!

we must be thinking of different posters.

but that's ok.

I guess from the refs perspective Jake has form for this, but I agree with you and thought Jake was genuinely trying to get back and cover in defence. Same as when he got binned for interfering with Gaigai a few years, he only had eyes for where the man with the ball was.

Unfortunately, Jake appears on the 'tip sheet' and so we know he is just going to get pinged, even for the 30:70s.

Everyone is getting pinged for high tackles so you have Jake who is a classic old school lower body tackler, which means he then has to clamber back up off the ground and gets pinged for being too slow, late in the game when players are tired. Come on nrl you can’t have it both ways, if high tackles are outlawed then give some credit for legal lower body tackles surely

Apart from when moses dropped the ball dead cold right in front of the line - classic, best laugh of the game

He was very subdued about that. I expected him to care more that he dropped it. He just seemed to accept it without any emotion which is out of character for him. He usually carries on like a pork chop.

Gutho has totally betrayed his roots. Could you imagine one of our players carrying on like a pork chop that he does during a game. Talented player but seriously needs to look at his attitude.

Also a little note to Mitchell Moses. I am sure that our players have long memories especially about the injustice that we suffered when we were denied a win by an errant touch judge last season and Moses carried on at full time like a total tool when most of the other Eels players were humble and understood that they got away with one.

For me yesterday he was rank and exposed yet again.

Parramatta might have have a world class stadium, a city for corporate sponsors, four times the amount of juniors that we have and a favourtism in the media that we can only dream of, but one thing they do not have in regards to us and that is a winning culture and spirit. That was in evidence for the whole 80 minutes yesterday. Manly butchered them!
So good hearing the magnificent and surprisingly loud "Maaaaanly" chant echo and reverberate around Bankwest, as the home crowd sat their in dead silence. The spirit of Manly has an intangible strength that Parramatta will never fathom

Hey @Jethro Many thanks for compiling all these vidoes and articles together week in week out. I don't know how much time goes into this but thanks a million for making this forum a better experience for all of us.

I've seen them silenced like that before too, 1988 and 64-12 achieved that, no victory is sweeter than a win at whingers Park!!

Hilarious reading the One Eyed Eels. I mean once you get over the headache of trying to actually get to and read a post. They are severely blaming the refs, saying that the refs wouldnt let them into the game and there were a ton of calls that should have gone to them.

This even after the MRC has found no fault in the incidents they spoke of.

I think they failed to see any of the times they completely failed in attack

Mighty win , players just kept turning up for each other and shear tenacity and commitment all round . Such a tough contest too but Manly never shirked it at any stage and had the attacking ability and class also to really outplay the Eels on the day . Don 't come much more memorable then that

All our forced changes, injuries and suspensions have finally allowed our young blokes to show their talent. We smashed the slime on their home ground and in front of their fans. Our pack owned them. Good to see Keppie smash brown and get under his skin. Well played boys.
