Great defensive effort from the whole team. DCE was ordinary again, lucky he can kick field goals to take the spotlight off his general play. Kicking game was poor and very little cerativity shown on the RHS. On the other side I thought Walker was good today and if Scorpio had a bit more toe he might have set up a couple of line breaks. Tommy really good and kept us in the game with his defence and attack. Crokers little stint at the end reaped rewards with a couple of good effort plays.

Forwards held their own against the Premiers pack and battled hard in the middle to defend their ground and slow down the ruck. That took a big edge off Teddy's impact. Great effort

Take that win for sure, wasn't one I was expecting in the W column. Still plenty of things to improve on though.

I'd like to see a bit more from Jake with the ball in hand. A couple of years ago he looked likely to bend or break the line every hitup, now he runs about 6 metres, crumples, and takes an age to play the ball.

Our ruck speed in general is atrocious compared to last year.

If I have learnt anything over the past 2 weeks, it is, its all about the curve !! Our Attack is down still, but scored a try , scored more points and our Defence improved on what was already strong showing from round 1.
Have to be pleased about that !! The curve is on the up !

Obviosuly Des set out to get our defence right specially for our opening 2 rounds, great desperation at times and hopefully we will see some Attacking improvements as the combinations improve over the next few games.
Personally DCE looks frustrated, that is not a criticism, just the way I see him at the moment, but he is a champion and will work it out as Walker gets more involved.

Pure luck.. keary gets that kick and its all different! We need a new game plan... got nothing. I think it will change with the warriors. Expect tommy to have many runs out of dummy half next week

I dont think that this win was pure luck
There is an old but true saying....
" Resilience puts you where the Good luck will find you "

It was no pure luck that the Manly never say die defence move up quickly and put pressure on Keary that took that field goal

It was no pure luck that our match winner DCE kicked the winning field goal as he has kicked us to victory many times before

I though this win was 80 minutes of pure resilience and courageous defensive effort against the winless and desperate premiers

We had a number of setback injuries and we were once again at at our resilient best today . We worked our butts off

I am so proud of being a club member and being part of our Great club the Manly Sea eagles
I hope after this resilient win we can get many more fans proudly wanting to belong to our Great club by becoming club members

Walker looked great at 5/8 but I must add he is more of a "hit the hole runner" type play maker (he needs guys hitting holes for him) and he's damn good at it. Croker looked good while out there too and seems to create space on the outside more than walker does. Croker has always done this well and Tommy would definitely enjoy the extra space created by croker. Good problem to have I suppose as both have great attributes as a playmaker.
Our forwards struggled for go forward BUT the Roosters were allowed to jump the gun all day and were effectively only back 8m at the time of play the ball.
We were very lucky to win that one and im not so sure our defence was as good as some are saying, if it wasnt for Tommy we could have lost by 24. Alot to work on but still enough to be happy about especially the 2 points

I just spoke to the @The Wheel to confirm that it was him and his lovely family representing all us Manly fans live on tv and he humbly confirmed it was him .
Congratulation to the Wheel Sea eagle family . Great Job feathered friends and I must say that The Wheel looked very cool under live TV pressure . Great job mate well done !

End of the day we beat the reigning premiers in round 2. Sure some aspects of our game are rusty but still is only game 2 with one trail match with a few who couldn't train.
I'm bloody excited crowd or no crowd.

By the way I have been waiting for the usual "I was at the Game today" ...... but didnt see anything

Thankful that we won otherwise the camera would have got me throwing things at tele

Let me say this about DCE. I bet if you went around and asked his teammates, out of all the #7s in the comp they'd all choose DCE. He is Manly through and through. I know that given the choice I'd choose DCE over any other #7. There are a few others 7s in the comp on just as much, if not more coin than DCE, but are not worthy to polish his boots.

Our defence was as good as it needed to be, Turbo drives that from the back and cleans up when needed. Scrambling one on ones are as much part of the game as much as missed one on ones are.

Typical 007 performance once again from DCE .
Just when you think the bad guys killed him off
He eventually escapes them and ends another 007 thriller as the Victor

Yeah noted to the wife the female ref had no control of ruck. Walker was impressive and so was parks. Addin was alot better today and croker was quite good when he came on.
Dce short kicking was average roll the ball in for repeat sets ?
Somewhat concerned about Jorge with bombs but since his last Acl his yardard runs he not getting us on front foot.
