Yep. Its funny how now most of us would take Gallop back in a heartbeat.
Notwithstanding the B Stewart fiasco, which was big don't get me wrong, Gallop did a pretty good job, especially considering the turkeys we have had running the show since then.

He might think his value has increased as a Moylan magnet. Penn’s comment that Manly won’t release Barrett from his contract next year is telling. Needs to be sorted out in days not weeks.

I think this says it all. Why would you be even talking a "release" if the subject wasn't braced?

I stick to my long held theory ................Baz doesn't want a long term gig at Manly and he isn't signing an extension unless they throw "silly" money at him.
That would be foolish on our part, he isn't worth top dollar and is the most over-rated coach in the NRL.

Bottom line though is he is still a better coach than Barrett.................and FFS I don't want one or all of the Fulton kids getting the gig.

He'll sign. Probably just working out the 3 year plan and how Barrett fits into it and what part Barrett plays along side bozo. Barrett probably wants more control as well as a good pay rise. Sure they will come to an agreement. Would be crazy to go to another coach again. Team is heading in right direction and with a few more key signings successful years ahead hopefully

Penn said that due to planning for next three years ahead it'll just take a few weeks to complete. He also said that Barrett deserves a raise in pay, and just wants to build a plan that i guess involves a higher pay for him

About June. Madge to Manly. Why? We were travelling like champs. Madge was said to be a known commodity as a coach who can get a Premiership, who commands big dollars. Baz could possibly be at that standard but he now commands similar money.

When the Madge to Manly rumour seemed like some sort of crazy fiction. Soon after the wheels to our season feel off.

October Madge is unemployed.

Now further confirmation Baz was being shopped to Bulldogs and Titans.

Penns comment Manly won't release Baz is very interesting.

As a side note. Media are still saying Madge will have a job with a Sydney club for 2018.

Media also saying don't expect this Baz extension to happen any time soon. That much confirmed by Penn above.
